DOANKET 1 - BAMBOO, RATTAN & SEAGRASS HANDICRAFT

Doanket 1 was established in 1984 by Mr. Lap Who in the famous traditional handicraft village in Hanoi, Vietnam. Manufacturing and exporting handmade products for living room, kitchen, bathroom accessories and garden items made of rattan, bamboo, fern, water- hyacinth, sea-grass ceramic and other natural materials. Supplying not only Vietnamese market but mostly worldwide wholesalers, importers from the United State, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, Australia , etc. We have a strong reputation for consistent quality and innovative design from all over the world. We have 200 fulltime workers currently in factory where is approximately 20, 000 square meters and over 20.000 employed weavers around provinces in the North of Vietnam, working constantly under supervision of quality control.

Sek Chhan was born in Cambodia, where his family lived in Battambang, a small town located approximately 150 km form the border with Thailand. They were farmers and they made a living from the rice they grew. When the Chhan family moved to France, it was a real cultural shock to them since it was the first time they had left Asia. To help the family make end meet, Ms Chhan began to prepare spring rolls and samosas for associations. Although Asian cuisine was not very well-known and appreciated in the late 1980s in Sainte-Sigolène, a small village in Haute-Loire, she continued to develop her culinary talents. During this time, the young Sek pursued his studies, never forgetting the culinary and commercial experience acquired with his mother. He reproduced the family recipes and opened a small shop called "Les nems de mon enfance" in the Loire, with the help of Noemie. In just a few weeks, after moving to new premises, "Les nems de mon enfance" will continue to produce the highly appreciated spring rolls and samosas. This will also enable the short circuit production of new Asian dishes, using local products, whilst respecting the family know-how. Don't hesitate to contact us for more details!

Since July 2017, CLAC, the Conserverie Locale Artisanale et Créative has dreamed up and prepared organic tinned foods using local ingredients from fifteen partner farms and smallholdings in the Auvergne. In line with our 3 pillars of ORGANIC, LOCAL and HAND-CRAFTED, we use fresh ingredients, picked when fully ripe to create tasty, 100% original recipes. CLAC is entirely committed to transition by combating food waste, purchasing so-called “ugly” vegetables and production surplus from our local market gardeners at a fair price. We guarantee our supply through annual contracts, thereby improving the producers’ income. Our original gourmet recipes have won numerous prizes, including the silver medal at the Natexpo innovation awards (carrot mousse with bleu d'Auvergne cheese) and the Epicure d'argent from the Monde de l'épicerie fine (Auvergne-style beetroot ketchup).
