The DiaLink connector (patent pending) with its intelligent circular design is setting new standards in fiber-optic cable connections. Its numerous positive characteristics ensure that there are almost no limits to the way in which it can be used – whether its in medical applications, measurement technology or FTTH cabling. The connector allows for simple adaption to a wide range of applications. This is also reflected in our wide range of possible connector configurations. The DiaLink comprises a male and a female connector side. Thanks to the user-friendly design and the push-pull system, the connector can also be used in extremely confined conditions as a device interface or with a high packing density without any problems whatsoever.

Diamond has developed the new rugged, MIL-83526 DM connector featuring the DM (Diamond Multipurpose) insert for superior optical performance. This connector is extremely well suited for harsh environments and other demanding applications. The MIL-83526 DM (Diamond Multipurpose) connector incorporates four (4) termini utilizing Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. This connector is also available with electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. The MIL-83526 DM connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and smallcore single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Furthermore, Diamond‘s splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing for in-service repairs and custom installation.

For the first time, rugged 38999 connectors are available for use with small-core single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose (DM) insert, the connector incorporates four (4) termini with Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini for repairs can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer.

Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose insert, the HE-2000™ connector incorporates four termini using Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. The optical and electrical termini are protected from dust and water with the unique automatic protection shutter on the plug connector and a manual shutter on the bulkhead receptacle. The HE-2000™ connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and small-core single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining fiber, and other specialty fiber types. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing in-service repairs and installations

Diamond offers High Temperature (HT) fiber optic metal assemblies developed specially to withstand operating temperatures beyond the range of conventional plastic connectors over extended periods. The HT assemblies rely upon a combination of specialized assembly techniques and materials, together with special fibers with appropriate coatings suitable for deployment in harsh environments. Diamond HT solutions’ benefits extend to temperature applications up to 150° C (302°F) for use in severe conditions within industrial, military, aerospace, off-shore, telecom, and other environments. These add up on top of traditional advantages such as immunity to electromagnetic interference, better environmental stability and enhanced remote sensing compared to traditional electronic sensors. Diamond HT standard assemblies are available in PC and APC version with standard MM or SM fibers. Other configurations are available upon request.

The patented OptoLock® (OL) provides the quickest of terminations with bare POF. We offer analog and industrial fiber optic transceivers at DC-50 MBd and 100/125/250 Mbps in OptoLock®.

Firecomms’ LC terminated transceivers comply to the IEC standard 61754-20 Ed.2. The LC family expands the use of this popular form factor for use with POF or Hard Clad Silica (HCS®) cables. Transceivers are available at 10/125/250 Mbps data rates. A Non-magnetic Solution/Option for use in high magnetic fields such as MRI scanners or X-ray applications

Firecomms’ SMI transceivers comply to the IEEE1394b standard developed for communication over plastic optic fiber. The Small Media Interface has a small form factor with plug options that include a self releasing lock on the plug offering pull force on the cable in excess of 100 N. Non-magnetic versions are available for Medical device applications.
