Air is taken from a direct air inlet and delivered under the grate and directly onto the glass, creating an air curtain that prevents excessive soiling of the glass.

The GBL iris dampers are essential for smooth control of the duct air pressure. The lever and the iris regulating plates mechanism allow smooth adjustment of the diameter of the orifice(opening). The iristype closure allows throttling of the air flow without turbulence or induct noise. The GBL iris damper can be installed both in air supply and air exhaust ducts. Each Iris damper is provided with two manometer connections. The GBL can be opened to the full clear diameter for easier cleaning of the ductwork. Failure to do so can result in a fine, prison sentence and closure of business premises until rectified. AJS offer this essential fire safety service of a full fire & smoke damper testing and certifications with nationwide coverage. All test are carried out by fully qualified and trained technicians. This circular motorised damper is suitable for ducts with 125 mm. The position of the damper blade can be set via Modbus RTU communication or a 0-10 V signal. The enclosure has an airtightness class D according to EN1751. To ensure this classification aluminium tape should be wrapped on the seam between damper/duct. The unit needs 24 VDC supply voltage. We recommend using Sentera 24 VDC power supplies with RJ45 connector. They are protected against overload, overvoltage and short circuit. Once installed the device is ready for use. The default settings will suffice for most applications. If you do need to change some parameters, this can be done via Modbus RTU communication.
