The WrenchStar Multi digitally records torque & angle data and connects either wirelessly or with a cable option, to our IQVu data collector. The WrenchStar Multi has a 360° Light Ring that is completely visible at any angle. The torque wrench can be used wirelessly or with a cable option. It has a small OLED display that is clear and bright and shows how many Jobs are left. There is also a strong vibration alert when reaching the desired torque level. The Wrench will connect wirelessly using RF to the IQVu. If the Wrench goes out of range then it will continue to take readings, which once you are back in range it will automatically connect to the IQVu and send the data. The WrenchStar Multi can store around 200 readings within its internal storage so you can continue to work offline before having to return to the IQvu to send your Jobs. The quick change battery allows less downtime in production.

When the set torque is reached, the rotary slip clutch is activated. At the same time, a signal that it has been fully tightened is transmitted by radio. The LED "feedback" system lights up in the handle blue for OK, red for NG. An R-CM receiver (successor to the R-FH256) can recognise the IDs of up to four torque tools. However, simultaneous transmissions are not supported. By using it, a "Poka Yoke" error prevention system can be easily implemented. Using the optional SB-FH2 setting box and setting software, communication settings for R-CM can be easily executed (wireless). The R-CM receiver can control the number of tightening operations of a torque spanner or torque screwdriver. The RTDFH / RNTDFH wireless screwdrivers comply with the telecommunication standards in Japan, the USA, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Mexico, Vietnam, China, the EU, South Korea, Russia and India (information status June 2021).

The all-new TAC (Torque & Angle Control) is really two wrenches in one. First, and foremost, it is a traditional mechanical click-wrench. When the preset torque value is achieved, the internal mechanism moves, striking the side of the flattened case. That creates a distinctive sound. The operator stops pulling when the wrench clicked, the LED flashes green, and the display on the Global 400 advances the batch count and flashes green. Note that there are two torque values shown on the Global 400 display. There is the "click" torque value, the point at which the wrench clicked. There is also the peak value. Flat and Tapered Beam Torque Wrenches The error proofing industry started with a deflecting beam wrench built and sold by Paul A. Sturtevant. That was 1924. Highly accurate, very easy to use, and so durable they often last for decades - and decades! The special alloy steel beam is ground to a rate of deflection with the use of dead weights, rather than a dimensional tolerance. This process is time consuming and very labor intensive, but the result is a tool that remains accurate as long as the beam is intact and the pointer is on zero under no-load condition. The flat shape of the beam insures the wrench remains at a right angle to the fastener, reducing or eliminating side-loading error. This unique taper-grinding distributes stress evenly along the entire length of the beam, extending tool life indefinitely. Combination Adjustment and Release Tool The CART is a specialty tool used to set the torque for all Sturtevant Richmont preset torque wrenches. The tool consists of a grip that controls a small hex key with a larger hex key surrounding the point of the smaller one. The smaller hex key fits the torque adjustment nut and the larger key fits the lock nut that holds the torque adjustment nut in place. Used together, the two keys in the CART make it easy to unlock the torque adjustment nut, make the needed adjustment, then lock the new torque setting in place.
