Electrically conductive wheels and antistatic wheels and castors are used in almost every industrial setting, from medical engineering, electrical and semi-conductor industries to the automotive industry, hospitals, pharmaceuticals and other chemical industrial sectors. Blickle cast iron wheels are made from robust grey cast iron with a hardness of 180 to 220 HB. They are extremely wear-resistant and provide very little rolling and swivel resistance. Cast iron wheels are self-lubricating due to the graphite which they contain. However, they should always be sufficiently lubricated using the grease nipple, particularly when using the plain bore version. Due to the relatively high level of floor pressure, care must be taken when using this wheel series on sensitive surfaces. The silver coating on the wheels can change colour at high temperatures, but this does not affect the corrosion protection provided by the coating. Standard cast iron wheels are designed for use in temperatures of up to 120°C.

The Extrathane® tread was developed on the back of Blickle’s decades of experience in this area to meet market demand and provide an outstanding set of characteristics. The tread is highly abrasion-resistant and has a high resistance to cut and tear propagation. This means that heavy duty wheels and heavy duty castors which use Blickle Extrathane® tread are also suitable for crossing thresholds and medium speeds.

Swivel and fixed castors with pneumatic rubber tyres are used for maximum floor surface preservation. The pneumatic rubber tyres are available with zig-zag or ribbed profile and can be used indoors and outdoors.

Light duty castors and wheels are mainly used for less demanding applications requiring a load capacity of up to 280 kg. They are designed for speeds of up to 3 km/h and therefore more frequently used indoors.Typical applications of light duty castors are medical equipment, display bases or equipment for large-scale catering establishments.

Besthane® treads have 40% lower rolling and swivel resistance than the other polyurethane treads. This means that much less force is required to push or pull transport units carrying heavy loads. It also makes the series particularly interesting for customers focused on ergonomics and occupational safety. Besthane® tread also provides a particularly high level of dynamic load resistance, which is particularly useful when transporting sensitive materials. The tread is typically used for a variety of heavy duty applications on different transport units and machines in the machining and automotive industry. It can provide a load capacity of up to 12,000 kg at high speeds of up to 16 km/h.

We manufacture pressure and feed rollers for moulders, feeders and belt sanders according to drawings or samples, completely ready for installation. The choice of roll coating, the design of the roll coating in smooth or grooved form and the most suitable degree of hardness for the roll coating must be determined customer-specifically. Wood-Her rollers consist of an aluminum core. Light-colored rubber is used for the coating, in addition to the polyurethane materials that have long been tried and tested in the woodworking industry, and mainly the elastomer Vulkollan®. Super-elastic solid rubber tyres are always used for heavy duty applications when transporting heavy loads across challenging surfaces. They are frequently used for agricultural equipment, transport units for large components, forklift trucks and cleaning and sweeping machines. Super-elastic solid rubber tyres are multi-component tyres which are resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances. They provide a high level of operational comfort, low noise levels and good floor preservation.

Thermoplastic injection-moulded polyurethane (TPU) based on polyesterpolyol, diisocyanate and glycol. This is vibration-absorbing, non-marking, non-staining and highly abrasion-resistant, while also providing good floor preservation. The tread is also resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances, although it has only limited resistance to hot water or steam.

The polyurethane-elastomer Blickle Softhane® is one of the four polyurethane treads developed by Blickle. The positive characteristics of the tread are the end result of many years of optimisation. The extra-thick elastic tread guarantees excellent operational comfort. It is especially gentle on the floor, abrasion-resistant and quiet. The green colour does not leave any tracks and is also non-staining. Softhane® is resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances, with the exception of aromatic solvents, hot water or steam.

Nylon wheels are frequently used for industrial applications, particularly in areas where hygiene is important, such as the food industry. Nylon is resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances, has good rolling properties on smooth floors and is available in a variety of versions and dimensions. The white version is very popular as it makes dirt and dust easy to see. The material is not particularly suitable for applications involving high temperatures or uneven surfaces.

Polypropylene wheels are used in a wide range of industrial settings. The white PPN version is frequently used for applications with demanding hygiene requirements, such as the food industry or pharmaceutical industry. The wheels can be cleaned using a variety of agents as they are resistant to a wide range of aggressive substances. The black PP version is also electrically conductive.

The SVS wheel series is primarily used for heavy duty applications requiring extremely high load capacities of up to 15,000 kg. They are typically used in machine and systems engineering. Their resistance to a wide range of aggressive substances also makes them suitable for use in applications which require resistance to chipping and oil. Despite their exceptional load capacities, only minimal effort is required on smooth surfaces to move transport units with SVS castors. The rugged grey cast iron series is extremely wear-resistant and is also capable of withstanding temperatures of between -25°C and 120°C.

Flanged wheels are mainly used on rails to make sure that transport units stay on track. They are made up of a bearing and a wheel centre with a flange. They are used in everything from machine and systems engineering through to pulleys. These environments involve special conditions like heat, contact with oil or chips and electricity. Blickle has five different series of flanged wheels in its product range to meet various requirements. The SPKGSPO, SPK and SPKVS series have a single-sided flange. The DSPK and DSPKGSPO series have a double flange. The flanged wheels are also available in a variety of materials. Compressed cast nylon, steel and grey cast iron series are available. The flanged wheels use either a plain bore or ball bearings. Other bearing types are also available upon request.

For the majority of standard castors, either the tread or the steel bracket is not designed for frequent contact with water or high levels of air humidity or steam. Blickle stainless steel castors, on the other hand, provide corrosion protection in every area, including the high-quality chromium-nickel steel bracket, the synthetic wheel centre, a selection of treads made from rubber, thermoplastic polyurethane and nylon and the various bearings used. This is relevant for wet areas and environments with strict hygiene requirements, such as the food industry.

Heat-resistant wheels and castors are used in a variety of areas, from the food industry to medical engineering and other industrial applications. Requirements for these wheels and castors are equally diverse: in addition to withstanding high temperatures, they also need to meet hygiene requirements, resist corrosion and support heavy loads. Blickle has eight different wheel series in its standard range to cover these applications. These include series with specialised, highly heat resistant solid rubber and a pressed steel or synthetic rim. Wheel series made of nylon, phenolic resin and cast iron round out the range of heat-resistant wheel series. Temperature resistance ranges from -200°C up to +600°C, depending on the wheel series.

Spring-loaded castors improve the service life of castors by reducing the amount of shock and impact load. They also protect sensitive and valuable goods by absorbing shock and impacts. Spring-loaded castors ensure that loads are distributed more evenly and reduce noise levels during transportation. The Blickle range includes four different spring-loaded brackets with a steel or polyurethane spring.

Compact castors combine a particularly impressive load capacity with a low mounting height. Some of these castors can support loads of up to 700 kg, with a total height of just 112 mm. Compact twin castors can handle even more: up to 1750 kg with a total height of just 125 mm. They are perfectly suited for reducing the risk of tall and heavy furniture tipping over due to a high centre of gravity. That’s why they are frequently used for server racks or control cabinets. Compact castors are the first choice when significant load capacities are required despite space being at a premium, such as under a hospital bed.

Pallet trucks, forklift trucks and industrial trucks are used to lift and transport heavy loads and play a vital role in intralogistics. The wheels and castors used on these vehicles need to be extremely wear-resistant and robust. Blickle has a wide range of wheel and castor series available for pallet trucks, forklift trucks and industrial trucks. Different applications require different castors. The castor you should choose depends to a large extent on external factors, such as the condition of the indoor or outdoor surface, or whether the vehicle is driven manually or electrically. This has an impact on characteristics like dynamic load capacity, resistance to environmental factors and noise levels.

Drive wheels are used to drive appliances and equipment. They use the force generated by a motor within the appliance to get it moving. In addition to wheels and castors, Blickle’s extensive catalogue also includes tyres and press-on bands. The press-on bands are manufactured using Blickle’s own Blickle Besthane® or Blickle Extrathane® polyurethane treads. They are also available with super-elastic solid rubber tyres or an elastic solid rubber tread. Tyres use a steel-wire reinforced rubber core to connect to the rim, while press-on bands are fitted with either a steel insert or a steel band.
