The minimum printing height is about 2,7 mm. The marking speed can be set directly on the marker keypad and it is therefore possible to write accurately and without deformation of the characters. Measurement of the surface tension The adhesion of a surface is usually directly dependent on the surface energy. If the surface energy is substantially lower than that of the printing ink used, the wetting is disturbed, resulting in poor adhesion. For this reason, plastic surfaces have to be pre-treated. Depending on the type of ink used the surface tension required can vary: solvent based inks => 38 bis 42 mN/m (=Dyn/cm) water soluble inks => 40 bis 44 mN/m UV inks => 44 bis 46 mN/m With the test inks of AFS, which are available from 34 to 56 dyn/cm surface tensions of plastic films can be easily and reproducibly determined according to DIN ISO 8296. Depending on whether the ink sticks or bubbles on the surface it indicated whether the surface tension is above or below the dyne-value of the currently used test ink. We also offer the test inks in a case with 12 bottles from 34 to 56 dyn/cm.

The Natron 314 Series UV ink is a neutral is formulated for printing on a wide range of applications, both hard and flexible. This UV ink for digital printing has excellent adhesion on glass, tile, metal, acrylic, and soft (PVC, TPU) materials. This UV inkjet ink is available colors are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White, and Varnish. Combined with the Natron UV ink adhesion promoters, this UV inkjet ink enables companies to achieve full-color graphics and images substrates with low surface energy such as polypropylene. Use this ink is compatible with any UV printer that has Ricoh Gen 4, Gen 5, and Standard Gen 6 print-heads. The 314 Series UV inkjet ink is Prop. 65 compliant. It is safe to use and free from any harmful chemicals or harmful naturally occurring substances.

Natron M87 UV ink primer is applied as a preparatory coat to metal substrates, usually as the first step in the printing process. This UV printer inkjet primer is the only primer that you will need for stainless steel and powder coated substrates, including polyester solid color based powder coats from Prismatic Powders. This primer works exceptionally well with all OEM inks including Mimaki LH100 and S1 Inkjet inks. By applying a small amount of Natron™ M87 UV inkjet primer for metals to your product, adhesion improves significantly. The primed product will pass pass scratch, tape, and wash tests. Once applied the Natron M87 leaves a visually undetectable molecular coating which improves surface finish, and print quality.
