Micro injection molding Large series mass production is standard at starlim//sterner’s. Component weight goes down to 10 mg. Silicone components with a weight of below 10 mg are subjected to other physical laws. This is why starlim//sterner defines such products as "micro molding" parts. Historic range developed by Servi Doryl to manufacture pressed cheeses. The injected moulds and lids are designed in copolymer polypropylene with a fine square pattern and conical perforations. Different sizes are kept in stock : round and rectangular models.

In our moulding departments we are producing items for hear devices and other medical equipment. The demanding quality request from our customers are for us daily business. The production is equipped with handling robots and that´s why we can offer all quantities from prototypes / small production batch sizes to several million items per batch for a competitive price level. We can also offer customer packing from our 2 automatic packing machines. We have for many customers a security stock or an annual framework agreement.

Production starlim//sterner produces single and two component parts made of silicone using fully automated injection molding processes. Production takes place on our sites in Austria (Marchtrenk and Weisskirchen) and in Canada (London/Ontario). In Austria we run more than 200 injection molding, compound and 2K machines and in Canada more than 35. We deploy ENGEL brand machines with a clamping force range of 40 to 300 metric tons. The machines run in shifts: 365 days/year, 24 h. Micro-injection molding is a separate production unit. To meet special requirements of cleanliness/purity and hygiene starlim//sterner has a clean room meeting the following standards: ISO 14644-1 class 7 & 8 and GMP class C and D.
