SYSTEM SOLUTIONS FOR THE STORAGE OF SLURRY Following the further development of the Lipp dual seam system and the container material it was possible not only to build silos for bulk materials, but also silos for the storage of liquids, such as liquid manure. Since slurry is also rather more aggressive and can attack concrete or similar vessels, especially over the years, Lipp always offers its system solutions for the storage of slurry in principle in V2A stainless steel (1.4301), when it is clear that the tank will remain open. Possible changes are also taken into account with the customer during the planning process and in case of a future modification of the slurry tank consideration is given to an alternative material (V4A) or the possibility of a subsequent roof construction. Thus, the container retains its flexibility and can later be converted into a fermenter, secondary fermenter or other container.

The direct driven agitator SPR is Geppert Ruhrtechnik’s solution for all industrial mixing tasks that demand a turbulent mixing with high peripheral speeds. It is driven by a three-phase-motor with poles between 2 and 8 as well as drive ratings between 0.25 kW and 75.0 kW. The SPR could also be equipped with a frequency inverter upon request (up to 7.5 kW). The agitator shaft is directly connected at the shaft journal of the drive via sleeve or flange coupling. Solutions with quick-change or precisions-change coupling are also feasible for lower drive ratings of up to 3.0 kW. The standard agitator element is a propeller. The valve controls tanks and reservoirs emptying and avoids overflow. The valve operates by means of a differential hydraulic float complete with regulating levels mounted on the tank side. The float maintains the valve closed and opens only when the minimum pre-set level is reached. Once the valve is open, float allows tank inlet until maximum water level is reached again.

The YSTRAL jet stream mixer fulfils all requirements for a complete and homogeneous mixing of the contents of a vessel. Effective micro- and macro-mixing of the entire contents of the vessel without the introduction of air. Complete mass transfer across all vessel levels due to vertical mixing. Up to 90% of the energy used is converted into vertical flow - no rotating vessel contents. Even heavy sediments are suspended by directed streams. Rotating parts are protected against unintentional intervention. With open tanks no tank fixing is necessary. A fast rotating rotor surrounded by a stator generates a downward directed guide jet which directs the liquid flow directly to the bottom of the container. At the bottom of the container, the stream splits and creates an upward flow on the outer wall. At the surface, the liquid flow is redirected towards the bottom of the tank.

The OPTIBAR PC 5060 is a pressure transmitter for process pressure and hydrostatic level measurement in all kinds of process applications. It is designed for absolute and gauge pressure measurement in open tanks and – as dual version for electronic differential pressure measurement – also in closed vessels. The pressure device features a ceramic capacitive measuring cell that guarantees maximum overload and vacuum resistance for high plant availability. The measuring cell can be built into the process absolutely flush and the radially recessed position of the gasket provides additional protection in abrasive media. It is resistant to sudden temperature shocks and can handle operating temperatures of up to +150°C/ +302°F. The OPTIBAR PC 5060 comes with robust plastic and aluminium housing or hygienic stainless steel versions (incl. ingress protection IP69k). Enduramaxx’s Open Top Cone tanks are available in a range of 25 sizes and are constructed so as to have a consistent wall thickness and chemical resistance.
