These special sewing threads made from 100 % polytrimethylene terephthalate are characterised by extraordinary elasticity. The seams are pucker-free and smooth which makes them ideally suited for closing and decorative seams, especially on lockstitch machines. Suitable for highly-elastic fine woven and knitted textiles in men’s and ladies’ wear as well as lingerie and sportswear / It can be sewn very well / Double chain stitch seams can be replaced by double lockstitch seams without compromising on elasticity / Thanks to lower tension settings, the ideal seam elasticity can be achieved already with 4 stiches/cm / Ideal for visible, elastic decorative seams.

Outdoor textiles are expected to last for many years. Gütermann offers a special thread made of polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE). This product has very good temperature-, ultra-violet light and chemical resistance and its shows high breaking strength and abrasive resistance. Sun, rain, wind and weather are particularly hard on outdoor textiles. Seams are placed under the most severe strain, and quickly lose their resilience and firmness under the influence ofUV radiation and extreme weather conditions.
