All our Stove & Woodburner Rope Seals are manufactured by knitting technique rather than conventional braiding. The knitted ropes can be produced in the following consrtructions: Without a central core (NC) to give a soft, elastic, pliable construction. With a central core (WC) to give a medium-firm density but no longitudinal elasticity. With a Double Knit (DK) construction to give a range of density but maintain longitudinal elasticity. Textile Technologies can offer knitted rope manufactuerd from E Glass, HT750 Glass and S-TEX silica Yarns. Further Enhancements Textile Technologies can further enhance thermal rope seals by coating with vermiculite, industrial grade silicone polymer or wet or dry PTFE. They can also be covered with a knitted outer mesh for sealing applications that are subjected to mechanical abrasion. The Round Lead Seal is designed with two parallel holes and a knot chamber. During fitting the wire or string is threaded through the two parallel holes and crossed inside the knot chamber before closing with the sealing tool to prevent slippage. The LS31F Seal Cross-hole Lead Seal is designed so that the lashed wire is crimped together when the seal is compressed with the sealing tool. The effect of crimping the lashed wire together alleviates any chance of twisting the wire out of the hole without leaving clear evidence of tampering. To optimize security the sealing tool dies can be engraved to emboss or deboss characters /numbers/logo onto the seal so giving reference to the application user. The Acme T Seal is a fixed length metal seal manufactured in Tin plated steel. The design features a unique double locking action and inspection holes in the lock box which enable the user and security personnel to view the tips of the "T" mechanism within the lock box ensuring the seal has been correctly locked and has not been pre-tampered. This seal cannot be disengaged by intrusion or manipulation, nor can it be dismantled or cut without leaving obvious traces. It can be manufactured in operating lengths of between 10cm to 95cm and is suitable for use in temperatures of -60ºC to 320ºC (-76ºF to 608ºF).
