Application DC-motor as drive for a mine winder in a copper mine. The new motor replaced a 70 year old British DC-motor.

The CS100 winder is equipped with a shock-line, a slip ring arrangement and with a wind connection so that house connections can be rehabilitated safely.

FP RWR is a series of reel-winders of self-adhesive labels in rolls built for industrial use, robust, completely made of steel, equipped with a large support base for a stable connection to the printer. Available in versions with a maximum width of 130 mm. or 230 mm. The expansion mandrel allows the use of internal cores from 40 to 110 mm. (76 mm for the BIG model) and rewind reels up to an external diameter of 300 mm (400 mm for the BIG model). An innovative dancer position detection system allows to perfectly follow the speed of the printer avoiding tears or continuous stops. It is possible to rewind in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction and select the maximum speed range to be reached. Powered at 230V or on request 115V, it does not require a separate power supply. The microprocessor control board also allows to stop the rotation of the motor when the reel is finished or in case of paper breakage, signaling the anomaly with an audible signal.

To manufacture self-supporting coils, we use self-bonding wire. During winding, the surface of the wire is bonded using hot air. To ensure the coil connections can be soldered, they are then stripped of insulating enamel using a fully automated milling process. PRUFREX is able to make air core coils with wire thicknesses from 0.045 to 1.6 millimetres.

We can wind onto any desired coil form using many different press-in ferrite and metallic cores. Multiple tap coils are also possible. Pins are automatically applied to the coil connections during the winding process, with wire drawing electrically controlled. Our winding machines handle single-chamber and multi-chamber coils with wire thicknesses from 0.045 to 0.71 millimetres.

Most Winding Lines process one single coil (single-layer winding). There are however also applications where multiple layers are wound: With this process, the rewinding Coil Reel (Rewinder for short) reverses horizontally and orderly puts one layer beside the other, creating one long coil. This will make sense when narrow slit coil materials of small weight and – depending on their thickness – usually short running lengths would require frequent changeovers. Here, a layer-wound coil provides much longer productive time. The “elongation” by the way is done by butt-welding the coil strip ends. We offer this complete technology – including our own end-joining equipment and an adapted servo layering axis for the Rewinder. For thick strips we build vertical straighteners to correct the frequently occurring camber defect.

That’s where our Winding Lines keep your worries away – because they take care of a safe run! They work with high tension and special monitoring and deflectors to do this, with the result of a clean wound beginning to end. The machine design thus calls for especially high drive power and precision expansion systems; even something so simple as the machine base is designed special to cope with the forces… To control the precision of one layer to the next, we utilize external edge controls and servo-drive the Reels for adjustment. This way we meet the typical low tolerances in this industry – after all, the coil is the product!

The labels are read by two sensors that, self-learning by the microprocessor, automatically identify the difference in transparency between the label and the backing paper, presenting the label on the peeler almost completely detached. Withdrawing the label the next pop-up automatically.
