The production of CLOSSA includes the injection of technical, aesthetic and design parts. We work for different sectors of the industry as Automobile industry. We have an expanded experience in the production of gearshift and selector modules parts, like Select Levers, Housings, Gaiters, Boots, Sockets, Rods and Detents. We are experts in engineering and making shift levers.

Our tooling engineers and designers have extensive experience in creating various blow molds and injection molds. Our in-house tooling department produces molds for most plastic articles made in Philplast as well as molds for use outside our company. We can design, produce and issue technical documentation before the mold making, or we can make molds from 3D documentation provided by the client. In our tooling production we use new fully equipped high-performance CNC machines. The maximum size of our blow molds is for articles up to 20 liters in volume. The maximum dimensions for our injection molds are 546 x 896mm with a maximum weight of 2,500kg. All molds made to be used in Philplast are thoroughly tested on out machines to ensure their perfect quality.

The mold comprises two main parts: the injection mold (A plate) and the ejector mold (B plate), which are also known as moulder and mouldmaker. Plastic resin is introduced into the mold via a sprue or gate in the injection mold. The sprue bushing seals tightly against the nozzle of the injection barrel of the molding machine, allowing molten plastic to flow from the barrel into the mold, known as the cavity. The sprue bushing guides the molten plastic into the cavity impressions through channels on the A and B plates. These channels, called runners, enable the plastic to flow along them. The molten plastic moves through the runner and enters specialized gates, ultimately filling the cavity geometry to create the desired part.
