PGS is a locking device for pipes made of polycarbonate or polypropylene. It is designed to seal cap nuts to prevent their twisting and disconnection of pipes, as well as the removal of gas meters and installation of bridge cables for bypass devices for the purpose of stealing gas. The pipe locking device consists of two semicircular-shaped parts with additional holes for the sealing rope. To install the pipe locking device, it is necessary to connect both parts on the mounting nut, put the sealing rope into the special holes on the sides of PGS, and install the seal (rotary or latch one). The seal should be placed as close as possible to the locking device. The tamper-evident seal and rope will prevent intruders from keeping the fact of removal of the seal and the locking device from the nut unnoticed. During the Nord Stream 2 project several Aerolift lifting solutions were used on multiple locations. It is world’s largest pipeline project. During the project, a pipeline is laid through the Baltic Sea, which will transport natural gas over 1,200 km. From the world’s largest gas reserves in Russia via the most efficient route to consumers in Europe. Over 200.000 pipe segments needed to be handled. The Aerolift pipe lifting solutions are applied for many different situations and places. During production, storage, transhipment, and internal transport. For this specific situation we designed a lifting solution to handle bare and coated pipes aboard the ship. The ship, The Amazon, was converted to an ultra-deepwater J-Lay vessel. Our vacuum lifting devices are installed on 4 cargo hold cranes. In tandem mode the cranes will be used to load and unload 24-meter-long pipes in a cargo. The lifting devices are designed to limit deflection of double joint pipes or to handle the entire pipe by vacuum only.

Combustible Gas Detection - upgrade to upper class! Monitoring the environment for explosive gases most of the time you would be looking for hydrocarbons. It is a characteristic of hydrocarbons that they have a number of C - H bonds. These bonds absorb infrared light at a wavelength of 3,4 mm ( unsaturated hydrocarbons absorb at 3,3 mm ). This effect can be used to reliably detect these substances The most important advantage is that they are resistant against catalyst poisons and high concentrations. They can even be used in oxygen free atmosphere. Another important advantage of this technology is that a failure cannot go unnoticed. If an important component such as the lamp or the detector fails, the system will recognise this as 100 % absorption (an alarm situation). Most infrared gas detectors are designed as so - called NDIR (Non Dispersive Infra Red) double- beam detectors. This means, the light beam is divided in two portions with different wavelengthes. One is the measuring beam that will be absorbed by gas, the other is a reference beam at a wavelength that will not be absorbed by gas. This beam compensates for intensity variations of the lamp, dirt and corrosion. As the optics are mostly self maintained, an eventual inspection only checks if there is gas access to the sensor. Therefore much longer maintenance intervals compared to the catalytic sensor can be justified. As a rule of thumb, twice as long is OK. For plants which already have installed a combustible gas detection system, there is now a chance for a very cost- effective upgrade: The Statox 501 LC IR or LC MR! It consists of an EEx e (enhanced safety) terminal box and a sensor with integrated electronics. This sensor operates at the same supply voltage as a catalytic sensor. Its output signal is also identical to the signal of a catalytic sensor! This new innovative technical approach keeps the price in the same ballpark as catalytic sensors! All advantages of an infrared gas detector are now available for nearly the same price as a catalytic sensor and existing gas detection systems can now be upgraded without replacing the existing hardware. Of course the miniaturised chip inside the sensor cannot provide the same powerful electronics and software package as a high- end instrument, but however the new Compur Statox 501 IR LC features the most important advantages of an infrared system. Compur Statox 502 Control - and Common Alarm Module The All – Rounder in Gas Detection No matter if you want to detect toxic or combustible gases: This control module works with any sensor head. It provides the power supply and processes the signal. Three highly rated relays and a 4 – 20 mA output are the interfaces to peripheral instrumentation. Potential front ends may be the Statox 501 or Statox 505 transmitters with electrochemical or infrared sensors, or sensor heads with a Wheatstone bridge signal such as Statox 501 PID, catalytic or the Statox 501 LC and MC series with infrared sensors. Just by the push of a button you can program the module to handle 4 – 20 mA sink or source. Even the bridge voltage can be set to any value between 2 and 5.2 V, it even works with sensor heads of other manufacturers. So there is no restriction at all when selecting the appropriate sensor head for you application. With its two “sense” lines it can even compensate the voltage drop in the cable for very remote sensor heads or if there are extreme temperature variations. For maximum flexibility the measuring range is user programmable. You can also select the unit, no matter if it is ppb, ppm, % LEL or % volume. Easy installation The control module is mounted on a standard DIN rail. With an optional power rail you can interface the 24 V DC power and the alarm signals. This way you can program one of the modules to operate as a common alarm module. Even this function can be programmed just by push button. The application of a control module as a common alarm module is a very useful feature. It displays when any of the modules goes into Alarm 1, 2 or system alarm, and controls peripheral alarm devices. All electrical contacts are located easily accessible on the front side. The terminals for alarm signals, analog output, sensor head connection run into 6 pluggable terminal blocks. This makes not only the first installation quick and easy, but also any service event or system modification. A module can easily be removed out of its row, without interrupting its neighbors or disconnecting wires. Intuitive User Interface You want a gas detection system that needs little or no attention. No matter if setting the initial parameters or performing scheduled calibrations or proof tests: The handling shall be safe, quick and easy. The password - protected Statox 502 software structure is so clear that most menu items are self - explanatory. The “Reset” button brings you time back into the measuring mode at any time. Even if you have to interrupt your work and forget to reset, the watchdog function returns the system into the measuring mode, if no button has been pushed for a while. Functional safety paired with utmost system flexibility The Statox 502 complies with the standards DIN EN 61508 and 61511 functional safety, level SIL 2. In context with the HRC or ARE sensor heads you can create a complete gas detection system for combustible gases complying with SIL 2 standard. In larger installations signals of gas detectors often run into SIL certified process control systems, in smaller plants there is a need for a control module complying with SIL requirements. As any combination sensor head / control module forms a complete gas detection system, this system closes the gap. It is expandable without limits, and there is no restriction to the mix of sensor heads connected. Connecting other front ends The versatility of the Statox 502 does not end with gas detection. You can connect any front end providing a 4 – 20 mA analog signal or a Wheatstone bridge signal. So you can create your own compact control system for a variety of sensors with just one type control device. The H2Smart™ is an integrated sampling system designed to measure hydrogen content with high accuracy in nitriding and nitrocarburizing atmospheres and to calculate the parameters necessary for process control. Its unique measuring cell design and advanced electronics eliminate the need for a reference gas cell, thus simplifying the installation and usage. Moreover, the measuring cell is maintained at a set temperature to protect the system from condensation and contamination during nitrocarburizing and post oxidation processes. An integrated sampling pump with variable output insures reliable flow through the measuring cell. The sampling flow is continuously measured via an integrated mass flow meter, and, if necessary, the flow is adjusted by changing the pump output. In this manner, the closed-loop flow control assures reliable H2 measurement and thus accurate nitriding and nitrocarburizing control.

The installation system consists of high-quality NiroSan® Gas press fittings with yellow moulded sealing rings made of HNBR (hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber) and NiroSan® stainless steel system pipes according to EN 10312, DVGW-Arbeitsblatt GW 541 and EN 10312. All NiroSan® Gas press fittings are made of the material 1.4404 / AISI 316L (for moulded fittings) and 1.4408 (for threaded fittings and stainless steel precision castings). The material contains at a minimum of 2.3 % molybdenum and a lower carbon content than the conventional steel quality 316. Thereby these materials are not only of equal value but in addition, material 1.4404 / 316L stands out on account of its considerably higher corrosion resistance.
