The panels come in two orientations, portrait (tall and thin) for panels over 1220mm, and up to 2440mm, high. And landscape (low and wide) for panels 1220 high or less. Flexible MDF, or bendy MDF, as it is also known, is an MDF panel that is grooved on the rear which allows it to bend, with minimal distortion, around existing curved surfaces or curved formers. Commercially, it is popular with architects and exhibition stand designers to create curved walls, bespoke reception desks, counter fronts and retail display furniture. Domestically, it can be used for curved home bar units, curved kitchen islands, custom built TV/HiFi furniture, and other features and furniture elements around the home. Flexible MDF comes in to two thicknesses, 6mm and 9mm. Two sheets can be glued together to provide extra rigidity and increase impact resistance. Black MDF Board is pretty much a standard MDF board that has been dyed throughout with a black pigment during the manufacturing process. Cut it, shape it drill it, machine it, the end result is a black faced, black core MDF board. Black MDF wood panels are made by a number of companies including Valchromat, Fibracolour and Spanalux. We have access to all three manufacturers products however, we currently only stock the Spanalux black coloured MDF version. Our Black throughout MDF sheets are available in a maximum, untrimmed size of 2440mm x 1220mm and thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 16mm 19mm and 25mm. Finishing Black Core MDF To further enhance your project we can, upon request, supply our Black Dyed MDF panels with a laminated finish from a number of suppliers, in a wide range of colours. We can also provide Black MDF panels cut to size and clear lacquered in a water based PU coating, if required.

If you are planning on using an MDF for outdoor use it absolutely has to be MEDITE Tricoya Extreme MDF. MEDITE Tricoya MDF is guaranteed for above ground use for 50 years and below ground use for 25 years. In addition, and conveniently, Tricoya panels share the same machining, cutting and painting characteristics as regular MDF. Its unique qualities make it ideal for outdoor DIY projects such as children’s wooden playhouses, bespoke fence panels, wooden planters and other projects in and around the garden. Once cut to size, Tricoya sheets can easily be fixed together using waterproof, outdoor grade, wood adhesive and corrosion resistant screws. Painting Tricoya MDF, with the correct choice of paint (we would recommend the Dulux quick dry Weathershield, or their ultimate Opaque) will provide a longer, more durable finish.

Our Oak Veneer Faced Black Dyed MDF comprises of a real Oak, Crown Cut. veneer that is factory bonded to both sides of a 10mm black dyed MDF core. The overall thickness of 11mm the panels is 11mm. This makes them perfect for a wide range of domestic and commercial projects. This includes, but is not limited to, decorative wall panelling and wall cladding. Available cut to size, we can offer strips of black dyed MDF with an Oak veneer face, in any width and up to 2440mm long. This is perfect for creating low cost Oak faced Slat Wall feature walls in any room. Alternatively, and conveniently, we also offer easy to mount, pre-machined Oak faced black MDF slat wall panels These are available in our standard easy to ship size, or full sheets upon request. Not only can we supply your panels cut to size, we can also lacquer your Oak Faced Black MDF panels so you don’t have to. Our in-house spraying capability means we can finish your panels before they leave here and arrive with you.
