KIS needle roller bearings are ideal for applications that require space-saving rolling bearings with high load carrying capacity. We offer needle roller bearings in both radial and axial designs as well as in combined designs. In bearing technology, cylindrical rolling elements are referred to as needles if the rolling element diameter is ≦ 6 mm and the ratio of rolling element diameter to rolling element length gives a value Dw/lw ＜ 1:3. Radial needle roller bearings are intended exclusively for use as non-locating bearings. The given axial displacement path for bearings with an inner ring allows axial movements between the shaft and the housing. If necessary, wider inner rings are available to allow larger axial displacement paths. Our combined needle bearings are characterised by particularly high precision and efficiency. By integrating both bearings into one unit, combined needle roller bearings are often easier to press in and easier to handle than individual solutions.

Axial needle cage assemblies Axial needle cage assemblies, composed of synthetic or metal axial cage assemblies with integrated needle rollers, have an extremely low overall height. They tolerate high axial forces acting in one direction, radial forces must be taken up separately. The deployment of axial needle cage assemblies requires that hardened and bevelled thrust surfaces may be used as raceways. Thrust bearing washers Thrust bearing washers are punched, hardened and polished and can be used as shaft or housing washers. These washers are appropriate when the adjoining machine part when not hardened, is rigid enough and of a stable form. Axial needle bearings Axial needle bearings are components made up of axial needle rollers and cage assemblies and axial washers with centring bore. They can be combined with needle sleeves, needle bushes and needle bearings. The thrust surface for the cage assembly must be hardened and bevelled. The product types AXK and K are applicable here

IKO's Extended Life Specification Machined Type Needle Roller Bearings are treated with a newly developed special heat treatment that enhances the bearing's surface hardness and toughness, and suppresses the generation and growth of damage on the surface. Significant life extension can be achieved under high load or under the condition of lubrication contaminated with foreign substances. In a life comparison test, IKO's special heat treated Extended Life Series products lasted 5 times longer than standard heattreated products.

In IKO Needle Roller Bearings with Separable Cage, the inner ring, outer ring and IKO needle roller cage are combined, but they can be separated easily. This type has a simple structure with high accuracy. In addition, the radial clearance can be freely selected by choosing an assembly combination. Because they use needle roller cages, these bearings have excellent rotational performance, and are best suited for massproduction, high accuracy products such as machine tools, textile machinery, and printing machines.

IKO Roller Bearings are heavy duty bearings with rollers incorporated in a double row. They are nonseparable bearings with a high load rating. They can withstand not only radial loads but axial loads as well, which are supported at the contacts between the shoulders of the inner and outer rings and the end faces of the rollers. They should be used at the fixing side of a shaft. Like needle roller bearings, they are also compact. Roller bearing types include caged, full complement and the type for sheaves, and they can be selected based on the operating conditions. These bearings are used in heavyduty machinery such as construction equipment, and industrial machines.

IKO Thrust Bearings consist of precisely machined cages and rollers. They have high rigidity and high load capacity and can be used in small spaces. Thrust Needle Roller Bearings use needle rollers, while Thrust Roller Bearings use cylindrical rollers. Various types of raceway rings are available, and can be selected according to the operating conditions. When the bearing mounting surface of a machine is heattreated and finished by grinding, Thrust Bearings can be used without raceway rings, making the machine more compact. They are best suited for applications where high accuracy is required at high speeds and under fluctuating heavy loads, such as the drive mechanisms for automobiles, machine tools, and highpressure pumps.

IKO Combined Type Needle Roller Bearings are combinations of a radial bearing and a thrust bearing. Caged Needle Roller Bearings are used as radial bearings and thrust ball bearings or thrust roller bearings are used as thrust bearings. They are compact and very economical, and can be subjected to radial loads and axial loads simultaneously. They are widely used for machine tools, textile machinery, and industrial machinery.

IKO Roller Followers are bearings with needle rollers in the thick outer ring that are designed for outer ring rotation. There are separable and nonseparable models, double row cylindrical, and other models available. Roller Followers are widely used as follower bearings for various cam mechanisms and as guide rollers for linear motion in conveying equipment.

IKO Cam Followers are bearings with a stud that incorporates needle rollers in a thick walled outer ring. These bearings are designed for outer ring rotation and provide superior rotational performance, a low coefficient of friction and high load capacity. In order to effectively increase the loading zone, this bearing is designed to have a smaller radial clearance than general needle roller bearings, so the shock load is lessened and stable long life can be obtained. Since the studs already have threads or steps, they are easy to mount. Cam followers are follower bearings for cam mechanisms and linear motion and have high rigidity and high accuracy. They are used mostly for machine tools, industrial robots, electronic devices, and OA equipment. Stainless steel cam followers have superior corrosion resistance and are suitable for use in cleanrooms and environments where oil cannot be used or where water might splash.

These bearings consist of a cage made from a steel plate, which is precisely press formed and surfacehardened, and needle rollers with a diameter variation within 2μm. They have a rigid structure and a high lubricantretaining capacity. As they have the lowest sectional height compared with other thrust bearings, they can be used instead of conventional thrust washers and can withstand highspeed rotations with a low coefficient of friction.

IKO Machined Type Needle Roller Bearings are bearings with a low cross sectional height and large load ratings. The outer ring has stable, high rigidity and can be used even for light alloy housings. These bearings are available in metric series and inch series, both of which include a caged type and full complement type. They are suitable for a wide range of conditions including heavy load with either highspeed or lowspeed rotation. In addition, bearings are available with or without an inner ring. The type without an inner ring uses a shaft as the raceway surface, making the design compact.

IKO Shell Type Needle Roller Bearings are lightweight bearings with large load ratings. They employ a shell type outer ring made from a thin specialsteel plate which is accurately drawn, carburized and quenched, thus providing the lowest sectional height among the Needle Roller Bearings. There are two types of bearings available in this series; the caged type and the full complement type. The appropriate type can be selected according to the operating conditions. The caged type has a structure in which the needle rollers are accurately guided by the cage and thrust rings. It is useful for applications at highspeed rotation. The full complement type needle roller bearing, on the other hand, is suitable for heavyload applications at lowspeed rotation. Since these bearings are pressfitted into the housing, no axial positioning fixtures are required. They are ideal for use in massproduced articles that require economy, and have a wide variety of applications.

The Mounting Holed Type High Rigidity Crossed Roller Bearing has an integral structure (nonsplit) for both the inner and outer rings, with mounting holes that allows it to be easily attached to equipment. These Roller Followers are lubricated with CLube, a thermosetting solidtype lubricant which fills the inner space of the bearing. CLube is lubricant made of a lot of lubrication oil and fine particles of superhigh molecular polyolefin that are solidified by heat treatment. As the bearing rotates, the lubricating oil oozes out onto the raceway surface in proper quantities, maintaining the lubrication performance for a long period of time.

These bearings are full complement type bearings incorporating double rows of full complement cylindrical rollers in the outer ring. They can withstand large radial loads. Additionally, the outer ring is guided by the outer ring shoulder and the end face of the cylindrical rollers to the axial direction.
