Cut-To-Length Lines are core competence at GSW. They belong to the family of Cutting Lines and are designed to process diverse materials out of steel, non-ferrous metals or aluminum and precisely cut a coil into sections of equal length (which is where the name comes from). Starting with narrow slit strip and finishing somewhere beyond 2000mm width – our Cut-To-Length Lines always know how to shine in this process.

In our new production space, we have at our disposal 30 state-of-the-art automated punching & bending machines. In addition to bent wire parts, we also produce bent strip parts here. Production to order with complex forming: Bent strip parts are produced from a broad range of materials, including for instance stainless steel, alloyed or carbon steel, brass, copper, bronze, or even K55 or K75, a specially alloyed steel. We produce complex forms and assembly parts with a strip thickness of 0.15 to 3.00 mm and with a strip width of up to 120 mm; the strip thickness will be dependent on the material. Strip materials: Carbon steels, Stainless steels, Cold-rolled strips, Slit strips. Non-ferrous strips: Brass, Copper,Bronze,Special alloys such as K55 or K75. Strip coatings: Tin-plated, Galvanised, Silver-plated, Gold-plated, Painted, Partial coatings, Special coatings on request.

We recommend against turning stacked coils upright on the stack. The first choice for the raising of packages delivered in a horizontal position with split straps is therefore always a coil turning seat. However, there is not always a fixed installation for raising narrow coils. The secutex splitband turning strap has two different attachment ends. One end loop of the secutex lifting strap is flat, and can be easily threaded through the gap between the split bands. The flat end loop can then be easily hooked into the forged Cshackle. The protective sleeve is positioned against the “sharp edges“ of the coil. During lifting, the strap moves freely through the protective sleeve while the latter remains motionless against the load. There is no movement, and therefore no wearing against the “sharp edges“. The solution An end loop of secutex lifting slings for slit strips is flat and can easily be pushed into the gap between the slit strips.

The Coilprotect Premium is a further development to the already existing Coilprotect Semi. The second set of stake enables an even closer stake out, especially for narrow slit strips. The coil tray can be equipped with a coil hook and coil tongs. A fork lift assebly must be checked by the customer due to the greater width of the coil tray. secutex Coilprotect are coil cradles made from sturdy steel and are constructed for the longterm storage of coils. secutex Coilprotect is loaded using coil hooks, coil tongs or forklift trucks.

This special Metzner development is able to process cable wires with a diameter of up to 28 mm. The cycle time for this is 2000 mm / 35 seconds. The processing steps include long slitting, sawing, circumferential cutting, stripping, brushing and depositing. An integrated ink jet printer labels the cable wires with information or markings. As the heart of the processing method, Metzner uses a newly developed stripping head that combines a rotary cut with a powerful clamping and simultaneous rotation of the material. This enables a high-precision, multi-stage radial cut through the various layers of material. Microscopic quality inspection confirms that the processing is flawless with no scratches, pressure or abrasion marks. In addition to the high machining quality, the machinery also offers special precision: both the overall length and the machining position are maintained with an accuracy of 0.2 mm. The machine can process cable wires with diameters up to 28 mm.
