Douplex stainless steel casting

Douplex stainless steel is a class of steel that combines excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and ease of manufacturing and processing. Despite their high strength, douplex stainless steels exhibit good plasticity and toughness. And in most applications, douplex stainless steels show high corrosion resistance due to their high chromium content, which is advantageous in oxidizing acids. Therefore, duplex stainless steels are often used instead of austenitic stainless steels in many applications in the chemical industry with a greater risk of corrosion.
