BARRIERE FRERES SA - GRANDS BORDEAUX DEPUIS 1932

Jewel of the Bordeaux vineyard, the village of Sainte-Croix du Mont is located on a rocky spur which shelters a bed of fossilized oysters. Château des Deux Lion belongs to the Despujol family since more than 4 generations now and is one of the best wineries in its appellation. Dominating the Garonne valley, in front of the Sauternes region, Des Deux Lions is a perfect example of the richness of Sainte Croix du Mont wines.

Chateau de Rolland, situated just outside the village of Sauternes, thrives of an exceptional terroir just next to the Cirons River (perfect microclimate for Botrytis). The origins of the estate date back to 1492 when the “de Rolland family” acquired the domain. Faithful to its past, Mr Jean Guignard transmitted his knowledge to his three children: François, Lucie and Monique who now manage the chateau. The Guignard family, with whom Barrière has been working for some 30 years now, regulmarly produce an exceptional and highly reliable “golden” wine !

A unique estate of 11 hectares belonging to the charismatic Madame Jeanne Capdevielle who’s grand-father bought the estate in 1901 situated between Pichon Longueville and Lynch Bages. This is one of the last 3 estates in Pauillac that still remains independent from the Grands Crus chateaux of the same appellation.

Chateau Dauzac, 5th Grand Cru Classé of Margaux, is one of the oldest vineyards in the Médoc. Since the acquisition in 1988 by the French insurance company MAIF the estate is one of the jewels of the appellation. Laurent Fortin, general manager, aims to strength the rebirth of the chateau by creating a second Grand Vin: AURORE DE DAUZAC. This wine asserts perfectly the expression of the Dauzac terroir and is sponsored by the charming Stephanie Quellec, winner of the French Top Chef show in 2011 and today Executive Chef of Prince de Galles Palace Hotel in Paris.
