By working together, Fundación Nativo and social enterprise ARINVE seek to empower Venezuela’s indigenous peoples in the fields of cultural preservation, habitat conservation, and promotion of gender equality. More than 13 000 individuals from several indigenous peoples benefit from this project.Thanks to the commercialization of products obtained in indigenous communities, the project helps them to improve their life conditions while keeping them off the clutches of illegal mining and all its consequences: violence, habitat destruction, loss of values, transculturation, etc. It is producers themselves who set the sale price.With the slogan " Jungle to Home" we define a philosophy of production and commercialization of luxury indigenous products that combines the principles of fair trade, quality criteria in the selection of the product and reduction of intermediaries in the selling process. Goods come directly from the hard-to-reach indigenous villages of Bolivar and Amazonas States in Venezuela to the final consumer, guaranteeing that more than 50% of the revenues go directly to the producers and that no agrochemicals, additives, preservatives nor artificial colourings have been used in their production.The Amazon rainforest is an inexhaustible source of products of vegetal origin which, in addition to their high nutritional value, are a source of health.
