Description

Are you looking for a popular high refractive index and good IR transmission range material covering from 1.8-16µm? Here we are; Knight Optical’s Germanium glass material is ideal for your IR applications with its broad transmission range and opacity in the visible portion of the spectrum. Our Germanium windows are not only used in IR sensors, medical applications, and pyrometry; but also in IR imaging systems, and thermographic cameras. Typically operating in the 2µm to 14µm spectral range; that covers the LWIR (8-12μm) and MWIR (3-5μm) thermal imaging wavelength range. Our Germanium windows are available from stock, custom size and shape with Anti-Reflection coatings on one or both sides, and/or with Hard Carbon Diamond coatings. Read our PDF for more details...
