Absorbable gauze of oxidized regenerated cellulose (hereafter called Gauze) is made from regenerated cellulose as raw material, which is oxidized and woven in to gauze, and will degrade in the body without residual material. The main ingredient is carboxy-methyI cellulose. It is white with a pale yellow fabric and has a faint, caramellike aroma.
