HMEZAD EXIM D.D. - Grown since 1876

Our company HMEZAD exim d.d. was established in 1952. We are based in Zalec, Slovenia. It was first considered as a hop farmer's cooperative and became a stock company, the growers thus being very much involved in the company. We are specialized in hop trade and hop processing. We are also specilalized in the malting process, which applies to ceral grains. It is a combination of the srpouting process and kiln-drying process. We work on different types of malts and hops. The hops are submitted to strict quality controls during the entire process. Said process includes plant protection, harvesting, drying, baling and storage and further processing to hop products, until final delivery to customer. We attach a great importance to hop growing which is a tradition in Slovenia. We work to supply brewers with high quality products. We are permanently involved in the improvement in the fields of hop growing technology and breeding new varieties in Slovenia.
