The MANOY® backup ring is a solid or split ring which is rectangular or profiled in section. Various sectional profiles and sizes are available in standard or customized versions. MANOY® backup rings can also be used in dynamic applications – positioned on both sides of the O‑ring for alternating pressure.

XXL O‑rings are typically used as static radial or static axial seals in mechanical, power plant, plant and heavy equipment engineering. The special stagevulcanization production technology is also suitable for single or small lot production of smaller O‑rings with a nonstandard inside diameter.

The X‑ring is a continuous, seamless vulcanized ring with a special profile which is derived from four O‑rings arranged in a square crosssection.The particular advantage of the X‑ring is that it cannot roll or twist. The squeeze required to maintain an effective seal is also relatively low.The X‑ring is used in mechanical and automotive engineering, preferably as a static radial or static axial seal. Other applications are for linear or rotary motion of plungers, pistons, tappets, dampers and valve, bearing and piston rods, etc.

The tandem configuration of type 114 allows static pressure maintenance in the critical unpressurized range and at low pressure. The security of this function is guaranteed by use of the IDG materials U95, U96 or U99 on the low pressure or atmospheric side.

The main applications are liquids at very high pressure. This seal can also be used for gases if the maximum operating parameters are restricted.

The MANOY® U‑Cup is a pressureactivated sealing system. This means that the total sealing force is only ever as high as required to seal the prevailing pressure. This friction optimization saves energy. The MANOY® U‑Cup seals gases and liquids and also highviscosity fluids and pastes in a nonstandard version
