The company operates mainly in the field of paralyzing export (gum Arabic, senna , meat, leather, sesame, love watermelon, Roselle, fruits, etc.), while the company is the import of capital goods and consumer goods (such as sugar, wheat, industry inputs). Gum Arabic is the trade name for natural forest product of the genus acacia and mainly obtained from acacia Senegal known as ( HASHAB). The species has wide distribution and remarkable adaptability . It is essentially semi-arid zone species , but it is so adaptable that it is not only drought resistant but also frost hardly.it can regenerate naturally from seeds or vegetatively from coppice's. The main area of its occurrence is the central parts of the Sudan where the species is uniform and is found in pure stands giving Sudan the advantage of being the biggest producer and exporter of the best quality gum Arabic , supplying 80% of annual requirements . Another important comparative advantages is that in Sudan it occurs both wild and cultivated in a wide area giving the advantage of economies of scale.
