Knight Optical’s Achromatic Doublets for Holography

Knight Optical can offer UV Fused Silica Lenses for Solid State Laser applications. UV FS is a prime choice for lenses in use with Solid State Lasers due to its consistently high transmission in the UV/VIS/NIR regions. This means that it can be used with a range of different laser types, such as Titanium-doped sapphire (tuneable to 660-1080nm) or Alexandrite (tuneable to 700-820nm) with very little change in performance. UV FS is comparable to N-BK7 or other similar optical glasses in its performance, having a very similar average transmission over the VIS range up to approximately 2000nm and a slightly lower refractive index. As UVC sterilisation becomes more prevalent, Knight Optical can offer UV domes to house LEDs and LED arrays, as well as other light sources. We stock ready-to-order 50mm and 100mm UV fused silica domes with high transmission down to 185nm, meaning it encompasses the traditionally used UVC light sources – KCl excimer lamps (222nm), mercury lamps (254nm) and LEDs (265nm, 273nm and 280nm). Knight Optical can also provide custom domes, including with a flange for easier mounting, manufactured from UV fused silica. Also available are optical coatings to enhance the performance of the dome. Knight Optical can offer you Stock and Custom Fresnel Lenses, for use within Retinal Imaging in a range of materials such as PMMA Acrylic and Borosilicate. Our Fresnel Lenses consist of a flat surface with interspace concentric steps whereby each step corresponds to the surface of a conventional lenses. PMMA Acrylic is a preferred material type used for retinal imaging Fresnel lenses. The Fresnel lenses are used as part of a system where its multi-focal length provide a multiple in and out of focus image that provide a magnified image of the human eye itself.
