Portunus Pelaqicus, also known as the flower crab, blue crab , blue swimmer carb, is a large crab found in the intertidal estuaries of the Indian and pacific oceans and the middle eastern coast of the Mediteranian sea. As they cook, blue swimmer crab shells change from a deep blue colour to a vibrant orange. Blue swimmer crabs have moist, evenly textured firm flesh with a sweet and juicy nutty flavour.
