The range of application for the high-precision resistance decades models 1406 and 1407 stretches from reference standard for precision measurements up to simulation ot a host of measuring transducers. They can be used for control in complicated equipments and systems, such as equivalent circuit in resistor networks. Another application is the use in switching circuits, as reproducible variable in laboratory and test assemblies. The decade resistors meet all the requirements of these differing functions as well as the resulting demands. The high-precision resistance decades models 1406 and 1407 are designed to meet the highest demands with regard to precision, temperature and long-term consistency. Many years at experience, tried-and-tested technology and the use of fieldproven materials guarantee the high level of precision. The decade resistors consist of low-capacity and low inductance wire windings of MANGANIN®.

In connection with very precise digital voltmeters the model 1282 resistors are used as measuring resistors for accurate registration of direct and alternating currents up to 200 A. The compact construction supports universal application. The exceptional low temperature coefficient extends the scope of application a second time. A typical application is the wide range of quality and reliability testing. Regular measurements give a reliable information of the quality level of parts, instruments and systems. Technologies already approved with our precision and calibration resistors - which especially guarantee a secure conduction of the dissipation heat - have been transferred to the precision high capacity resistors. Precision resistors are used wherever the highest standards of temperature stability, error tolerance and durability are required. Models 1164 and 1166 are available for higher loads up to 1 W. The resistors are supplied with two connections on the front end (suitable for mounting on circuit boards). The precision resistors comprise low-capacitance, low-inductance wire coils made of MANGANIN®, which are encapsulated in small plastic cylinder housings. Prior to trimming, the resistance bodies are exposed to a meticulous artificial aging procedure. This special process and trimming to approximately half of the nominal tolerance guarantee long-term stability of < 0.02% over the course of years. In its function as temperature simulator the decade offers the choice of sensors like Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni 100 and Ni 1000 in the range from -200 °C up to +850 °C. The temperature is entered via keyboard or data interface. The corresponding resistance appears at the output socket in two, three or four wire method. The resistance decade allows a direct choice of resistances between 1 Ω and 1.2 MΩ. Depending on the ohm value the resolution can be chosen up to 0.00001 Ω. The selected resistance can be picked up via two or four wire method. The LCD display informs about chosen resistance or temperature, sensor type and control status.
