However, after the first delivery of Allan keys it was clear that the quality is not even tolerable to sell to the demanding customers and so, the owner with like-minded friends decided to produce the tools himself. A small group of enthusiasts started to plan the production and since 1957 to 2002 they produced Allen keys, various designs of T-wrenches and screwdrivers, screw bits packed in bit-block cubes and diverse Clip-pack bit sets. All the tools that BEARGRIP produced were of such quality that they have become well-known among ‘connoisseurs’. It didn’t end there, BEARGRIP’s reputation for quality became known worldwide, thanks to their riveting pliers. In the time of their greatest success, BEARGRIP produced 5, 000 units of riveting pliers Model 802 each month. These riveting pliers can be found on all continents. It was a hard period for BEARGRIP with the change of the owner from 2002 to 2013. In that time, less production and less innovation meant that BEARGRIP was slowly diminishing and in August of 2013 was finally offered for sale. Triumf professional tools Ltd., as a long-term customer of the Dutch specialist tools manufacturer, decided to take this opportunity.
