Boers are docile by nature, despite their size and graze well. Adult bucks can reach 150 Kg., and does 100 Kg. Boer bucks can be used as terminal sires to improve meat carcasses from dairy does. Low percentage Boer females make excellent dual purpose meat/milk animals. (While higher percentage does will rear their kids successfully, the volume of milk is lower and lactation shorter than dairy breeds.) As numbers grow, herds of Boers kept solely for meat production are beginning to appear and the future looks bright for this breed of gentle giants. For more information on Boer goats contact we're an established British Boer Goat herd primarily producing breeding stock (stud) but we also produce British Boer Goat Meat available as carcasses or cuts. There's nothing more rewarding when it comes to stock than British Boer Goats. They're inquisitive, friendly, great characters - and they taste superb too! What We DoOur main objective is breed stud stock for other breeders and producers. We cull very hard to eliminate any lesser quality animals This means we source our genetics carefully to ensure the best traits for the breed and the animals are carefully monitored/measured/weighed right from birth. Welfare of our animals is paramount, so our stock that we breed from are strong healthy specimens that has been selected to do well from free range foraging. without resorting to purchased hard feeds, resulting in good study animals.
