From Dec 2002 to Sept 2009, Philippe co-founded and served as the director of marketing and sales of Bossa Nova Technologies (Venice, CA), a small company manufacturing and developing laser ultrasonic receivers and polarization imaging systems. Before that, Philippe worked as a research staff from 2001 to 2002 at Lasson Technologies (now IOS located in Torrance, CA) on laser ultrasonic inspection and polarization imaging. From 2000 to 2001, he was a developer of Optical Fiber Amplifiers at Alcatel Optronics, Nozay, FR (now Avanex). Prior to Alcatel Optronics, from 1996 to 2000, Philippe was a researcher on Laser radars and polarization imaging at Thomson-CSF Optronique, Guyancourt (now Thales Optronics) , and at the Center of Research and Education in Optics and Lasers (CREOL), Orlando, FL. Philippe received a bachelor of Physics and a Master in Optical sciences from the Institut d’Optique Graduate School located in Orsay, France in 1998. He is author and co-author of European patents, and has numerous publications in the fields of laser radar, laser ultrasound and polarization imaging.
