Light Progress has been researching, developing, designing and manufacturing UV-C disinfection systems since 1987. How effective a disinfection system is can easily be measured by microbiological analyses or basic swabs, which can be used to prove the presence of microorganisms on the tested surfaces. However, to examine the exact amount of microbial contamination on a surface, in the air or in water before and after treatment, it takes laboratory testing such as HACCP tests. For chemical disinfectants, the manufacturers tests their disinfecting capacity beforehand; Light Progress has even carried out important tests in university laboratories and accredited private institutes. Through our collaboration with universities and major, globally recognised institutes, we have gained certificates that guarantee the highest level of effectiveness in our methods and our UV radiation equipment for treating air and water and for sanitising rooms, especially in the sanitation industry and the food sector. Over the course of our 35-year history, we have performed a lot of tests and trials to guarantee you always get the best quality from our products. In particular, our research with the University of Siena has led to numerous studies and scientific tests into the effectiveness of Light Progress UV lamps.
