The history of AWK Verschlüsse GmbH & Co KG goes back to 1989, when AVG Aluminiumverschluss GmbH & Co KG was founded as a sales company under the name Produktions- und AWK Verpackungen GmbH. Production started in November 1990 with five production lines. In 1997, we were certified according to DIN ISO 9001. In 2000, the sales company was taken over by the production company and renamed AWK Verschlüsse GmbH & Co KG. With the integration of PP production in 2003, we extended our portfolio to include seven more production lines. In 2014, we sent out a clear signal of our environmental awareness by purchasing production machines to produce PVC-free closures. Our product range includes various types of closures, including gas-tight aluminium closures, ventilating aluminium closures (TOPVENT) and pilfer-proof closures. These are used in a variety of areas such as mineral water, soft drinks, beer, wine, sparkling wine, milk and milkshakes.
