The Metalock repair process does not use heat, and therefore keeps the integrity of the base metal. Often repairs can be performed in situ, with little or no dismantling. The repair can be completed in days, ensuring minimum production downtime. The Metalock process is particularly suited to situations where equipment that cannot be easily dismantled, or there is a hazardous environment, or replacing the broken item is difficult. The marine and oil industries, in particular use the Metalock process throughout. Mining, foundries, power, minerals, petrochemical, process, steel, and pressing use Metalock.
