Corrosion protection tape - Import export

It is a glass fibre tape covered with a thick layer of red silicone rubber which provides the tape with a high level of heat insulation. It is a very flexible tape, which is suitable for protecting hoses and electric cables by means of bandaging without having to disassemble or disconnect the parts to be covered. It offers continuous protection at operating temperatures of 250°C and can withstand splashes of molten metal up to 1200°C. It is resistant to most oils and fuels, hydraulic fluids, acids and alkalis. Applications Protection of cables, wires and hoses against extreme heat, fire protection, insulation of hoses against loss of heat for the steel and naval industries, industrial furna-ces, automotive sector, foundries, steel works, oil rigs.

It is an adhesive heat shield made from a metalized polyamide polymer laminated to a light weight glass fiber cloth with a high temperature pressure sensitive adhesive for use in extreme temperature swing environments. It’s minimal clearance and ease of use makes Gold glass tape a highly effective material for firewalls, fuel cells, engine covers, under hoods, engine compartment, bulk heads, seat bottoms, and anything or area that needs protection from heat. Applications Car, motorbike and boat exhaust pipes, heat protection, cable covering, pipe insulation.

It is a 135 micron strong and conformable polyethylene red or white film tape, coated with a high tack, removable, acrylic adhesive. The product exhibits excellent adhesion to a range of substrates, and is particularly designed for rough and embossed surfaces. Additionally it has excellent UV resistance, allowing it to be used for a range of temporary masking and protection, external applications. Tearable by hand for ease of use. EXCOR EMIBO Classic Capsules can be used as VCI diffusers in cavities in transport and storage packages. The simple dosing and ease of handling makes them ideal for users' individual container systems; spent diffusers are simply replaced by new ones. If used according to the instructions, EXCOR EMIBO VCI diffusers provide corrosion protection for up to 15 years. If the packaging is re-used, the capsules can be replaced as and when the circumstances of your product cycle allow. EXCOR will be glad to offer advice on suitable replacement intervals. On request EXCOR can provide EMIBO Classic capsules fitted with self-adhesive strips or Velcro to allow them to be attached to the packaging.

EXCOR PERIGOL VCI 230 is used to provide corrosion protection for ferrous metals, steel, cast iron, copper and aluminium alloys as well as fully or partially galvanised steel. Solvent-free PERIGOL VCI 230 contains vaporising corrosion inhibitors and may be applied via immersion, spraying or brushing. This product has been specially developed for the protection of metallic cavities. Thanks to the VCI it contains, coating the floor of a case suffices to protect the inner walls from corrosion. PERIGOL VCI 230 is compatible with a wide variety of engine and gear oils, meaning as a rule it does not have to be removed after shipment. In direct contact with metal surfaces PERIGOL VCI 230 forms an oily, non-wipeproof film on the metal surfaces which may be removed using aqueous alkaline media.

EXCOR ZERUST Capsules have been specially designed for the protection of electrical and electronic equipment such as switchboards. EXCOR VCI corrosion protection is provided within a defined radius. EXCOR offers customers ZERUST capsules which remain effective for approximately one to two years, depending on how well sealed the surrounding space or packaging is. EXCOR ZERUST Capsules should be positioned as centrally as possible within the packaging and as close as possible to the metal requiring protection. A self-adhesive strip on the back of each capsule makes them easy to attach.

EXCOR UNICO is a soft open-cell foam 5 mm thick which has been impregnated with VCI. Thanks to its cellular structure it has a very large diffusing surface area which means that the VCIs rapidly reach saturation point within the packaging. UNICO foam can be used as a VCI booster in very voluminous film packages. UNICO foam is available in rolls or sheets. It is odour-free, dry and resistant to ageing. If you wish to attach it to walls or lids EXCOR can supply the product fitted with a self-adhesive strip.

A new method of pipeline corrosion protection, which provides the answer to both elimination and monitoring of corrosion, has recently been developed Abfad Limited. PIPEVAC® is an innovative pipe protection system which has been developed to eliminate external corrosion by creating a vacuum around a pipe. With the creation of an external vacuum it is now possible to monitor the pipeline in sections, which enables our clients an opportunity to investigate any alarm and take action to protect their assets and the environment from pollution. An internal or external breach of the pipe will activate an alarm as vacuum pressure will not be able to be maintained. PIPEVAC® also prevents against CUI (Corrosion Under Insulation) as the integrated vacuum system prevents moisture and oxygen from attacking the external surface area of the pipe, thereby preventing any of the conditions for corrosion to occur.
