The built-in marking unit 312V can be integrated in production lines. It is suitable for plain text markings in stylus marking or DataMatrix coding in steel or aluminium. Scribe marking is also possible. Standard delivery is with LDM Macro software. Here, standard settings are printer or layout mode. As an option VisuWin SE as well as VisuWin PRO PC software are available. Diversity in marking technologies: scribe, Stylus or dot marking, DataMatrix coding (ECC 200).

Optical inspection with the new stand-alone camera system allows for inexpensive and flexible testing of several production processes. Inspection with the high definition system camera (18/42 megapixels) is controlled and analyzed by a Microsoft Windows-based computer running the professional modus AOI-software. The almost maintenance-free modusAOI MCS18/42-Inline was specially developed for transport conveyor modules in production lines. Existing lines can easily be retrofifitted with this system. The small, cost effective system comes with a 18 or 42 megapixels camera, control unit, modus software and led lighting inclusive controller. Characteristics: Single system for inspection of printed circuit boards from the top side. Combination of diverse application tasks such as SMD placement, pre-reflow, chip control, THT fitting, conformal coating and full screening for lost components. The MCS42-SEL-AL is a cost effective camera-based AOI system. This solution is optimized for economical and flexible inline inspection of the several production processes. The small and inexpensive system comes with a 42 megapixel, high-definition industry camera and a PC equipped with the powerful modusAOI software whose development includes professional experience of two decades. Characteristics: Single system for inspection of objects. Combination of diverse application tasks in the THT area which take place before a wave soldering or selective soldering oven. Typical tests include confirmation of the mechanical assembly, presence, placement and orientation of plugs, stickers, fixings, reading of barcodes and data-matrix codes.

The triple AOI system is designed for simultaneous inspection at the return conveyor and from top and bottom before and after wave soldering oven. It has three multi-LED illuminated scanner units, as well as patented special optics which generate a parallax free image. The System includes three modus control units. The transport module has a length of 1200mm (47.2 in.). Characteristics: Triple system for simultaneous inspection of top and bottom before and after the soldering process. The AOI system is designed for simultaneous inspection of printed circuit boards top and bottom side. It has two multi-LED illuminated scan units with parallax free view. Those systems are also available for single side as for top or bottom view. The system includes complete set of modus control units. The transport module has a length of 1200mm (47.2 in). Characteristics: Double System for dual side simultaneous inspection for printed circuit boards. Simultaneous display of all results of double side inspection. Combination of different inspection tasks such as SMD placement, THT solder joints, conformal coating and full screening for solder beads. Capture of any number of barcodes and data-matrix codes on the multi PCB. Scan range 420 x 530 mm or 300 x 400 mm.

The PDL model series for labeling Petri dishes from our special machine construction provides filled and sealed Petri dishes with a serialized DMC label in the minimum tolerance range at an output of 130 products/min. The system combines mechanical engineering, label material and thermal transfer printer. The Petri dishes from the previous filling/capping line are fed to the labeling system. By means of a clock star, the system transports the products through the various stations, such as labeling, the press-on unit and DMC inspection, where the grading (quality control) of the data matrix code takes place at the same time. In case of insufficient quality of the barcode, the product is ejected. By using our label dispenser RAPID SM we guarantee an accuracy of +-0.2 mm at a labeling speed of 60 m/min while maintaining the product quality. The signals are switched directly into the stepper motor card developed by us.

This powerful HSF friction feeder is the optimal solution when empty folding boxes have to be marked with variable data offline from the production line. The modular design of the system enables an easy integration of the desired marking technology. The HSF separates the folding boxes from the stack in the infeed magazine. The cartons are guided to the printing station by two parallel running belt conveyors. Print information could be e.g. serialisation data in the form of bar codes or data matrix codes and text. Depending on requirements, thermal inkjet, laser coders or label print- and apply systems can be used (also in combination). The printed data is inspected and verified by an integrated vision system. The b+b Linemanager recognized all 21CFR Part 11 data for each serial number and is able to report this back to the Siteserver system (e.g. b+b Siteserver).

When it comes to laser marking, the following types of marking are essentially differentiated: • temper colour: in the case of stainless steels and titanium, oxygen storage in the surface, • white engraving, • deep engraving, • Color removal e.g. of anodized layers for aluminum, • Color change of plastics (usually additives required in the plastic), • foaming of plastics, • ... The advantages of laser marking are on the one hand: • longevity, • Biocompatible for and in medical technology. Traceability codes like RFID or data matrix have established themselves in the area of product traceability. Yet they are not per se counterfeit-proof. SECUDATA® therefore combines the logistic advantages of the different traceability codes with the counterfeit protection of our micro colour-codes. Both codes are conjointly applicable onto the product, its primary or secondary packaging, labels or closure seals. The traceability system as well as the product can thus be identified as originals. Merchandise management data can be checked in databases worldwide. In a first step, the traceability code is verified. But only the verification of the colour-code unambiguously identifies the authenticity of the traceability code and the product.
