MSD Mega Speed Dynamometer is the latest Magtrol innovation in the very high-speed motor and system testing. Challenged by its numerous customers in the Dental and Surgical field, Magtrol is pushing the limit to a level which was never reached. The braking effect is based on Eddy-Current induced on an aluminum disc directly mounted on the DUT (Device Under Test) shaft. Torque is measured frictionless by a 20 mN·m Reaction Torque Sensor having a resolution of 0.01 mN·m. Due to the thermal effect on the disc, the Mega Speed Dynamometer is not suit­able for endurance testing, but can be used to generate a fast curve or perform point to point testing. An infrared sensor monitors the temperature of the disc and stops the test in case of overheating. The disc can be designed and sized according to the motor parameters. The DuPont Impact Tester has been designed to test the endurance of coated material, when impacted by a falling weight at specified points. The purpose of the test is to see if test specimens can resist the effect of rapid impact testing. The principle of the test is that a coated test specimen is impacted by a falling weight, at a fixed height; thus checking the damage or deformation of the test specimen. The DuPont Impact Tester can also be used on paintings with coated materials. The same procedure is followed, using various impact heads or needles to drop freely onto the test specimen from a certain height. This is performed three times on the same test specimen, which is then left to stand for one hour. The test specimen is then checked for any cracking on the painting.

THE EFFECT Water in the diesel, condensate water, and heat in the tank system provide conditions for the growth of bacteria, fungi, and yeast. They form bio-sludge and organic acids which lead to filter clogging and corrosion. A failure of the engine or heating system is the result. By adding grotamar ® 82, the growth of micro-organisms can be prevented. THE RESULT grotamar ® 82 quickly kills microbial pests and effectively protects against corrosion. Expensive repairs are avoided. grotamar ® 82 was also successfully tested as an initial biocide by Öl-Wärme-Institut in an oil burner pump endurance test and fulfils the criteria catalogue for heating oil (extra light) additives.

Detailed finite element analysis led to development of a lighter, more open valve body which enables better access to the seat pockets for easier, quicker assembly and maintenance. TechnipFMC individually qualifies each gate valve size using nitrogen gas even though API Spec 6A permits qualification by scaling one size above and one size below the tested valve.
