Oxidized bitumen - Import export

The refinery bitumen is further treated by the introduction of processed air. This will give us oxidized bitumen. By maintaining a controlled temperature, the air is introduced under pressure into soft bitumen. Compounds of higher molecular weight are formed by the reaction of this introduced oxygen and bitumen components. Thus, the Asphaltenes and the Maltenes content increases resulting in a harder mix. This harder mix has a lower ductility and temperature susceptibility. The oxidized bitumen is used in industrial applications such as roofing and coating for pipes. By this method of processing, the bitumen that has a lower penetration can be manufactured, which can be employed for paving roads.

Oxidized asphalt 115-15 specially uses in the chemical, fuel, paints, lacquers, varnishes, paper-pulp-board, textile processing, road construction, pavement ,crack seal also in repairmen, civil works, roofing, construction industries, sealing and insulating buildings, adhesive, construction materials additive, dust-binding, coating, insulating and impregnating agent, make rubber and plastic products. The blown asphalt 115/15 products are for paving, roofing. Also used in asphalt based paints for corrosion protection of metals, in lining public works structures, adhesives in electrical laminates, base for synthetic turf.

Oxidized Bitumen 90-10 is made by ongoing or Staggered Blowing Process. Heated Penetration bitumen under controlled environment is blown with air which controls oil content in bitumen while it oxidized. Oxidized Bitumen is a peculiar amorphous material which is generally in liquid form when discharged by oxidation plants at a temperature ranging from 240°-300°C., and becomes solid or pasty at ambient temperatures. While being relatively hot, it is viscous, whereas when in pasty or solid state it possesses a fair degree of elasticity. Application Oxidized Bitumen 95-25 is a dark industrial bitumen. Petroleum residue modified by the oxidation process. In addition Oxidized Bitumen is produced by passing air through bitumen under controlled temperature state. Its stability ranges from highly viscous to solid. Blown bitumen grade has technical advantages such as durability, flexibility, water resistant and chemical stability.
