Our route access surveys provide an outlined analysis of how your project, cargo or components will be delivered to their destination. With wind turbine blades increasing in size and the development of new equipment to facilitate heavy transport, it's imperative that delivery routes from port to pad site are surveyed in their entirety for any restrictions that could impact on delivery.

Used for wind turbine components and abnormal loads, these heavy transport test drives provide a detailed route analysis to show areas where route modifications are required to enable the passage of the proposed vehicle and load. The loaded vehicles simulate the correct dimensions of the abnormal loads, as would be required for the actual movement and any projections either in length, width or height are assembled to the trailer. All projections are designed to allow for easy modifications and reduction in size if required whilst on the public roads, this allows for quicker and smoother manoeuvrability reducing the impact on other road users.

Our courses cover abnormal loads and transport legislation to ensure you are fully equipped to undertake heavy haulage projects. It is the responsibility of hauliers to satisfy themselves that their own personnel are sufficiently competent to undertake the task of driving abnormal loads or abnormal vehicles. Competent means that they are suitably trained and/or experienced for the role. Our Transport Operations Management training courses cover the duties, rules and regulations alongside the operational processes required to undertake these tasks. Courses in our Transport Operations Management section cover the Management of Driver's Hours & Records, Operator Licence Awareness, Managing Drivers in Transport & Logistics and Managing Transport Projects.

Our Transport Consulting visual route inspections identify the loading configurations for each abnormal load and the most suitable route, unless potential routes have already been identified by our client.
