The name "Bright Stock" comes from a method of producing a high viscosity cylinder oil of a bright color (Bright) by mixing naphtha with a dark colored cylinder oil, the mixture is left until winter, the wax ingredients are extracted from it, and then the naphtha liquid is distilled. BS "Bright Stock" oil is contained in gear oils, marine diesel engine oils, cylinder oils and other oils with a high viscosity index.
