The AM 3000 range of cable processing machines are distinguished by cutting and haul-off power and their convincing modular, robust and long-life construction for continuous industrial working. There are different models with different cutting powers and specifications. To match the processing requirements, numerous knife contours and technologies are available: The patented „ double-knife system“ facilitates different processing in a single working pass, the circumferential rotary technology offers exact circular cutting for cables with very thin or rigid outer insulation cover and for co-axial cables. Every model is equipped as standard with a full set of interfaces for peripheral equipment and IT integration. The machines can easily be converted into complete production lines, thus further increasing the process automation.

The Metzner AM 1000 is a sensation among the tabletop units. The automatic cutting and stripping machine processes cables, strands and wires up to 9 mm diameter and 6mm² cable cross-section with a special cutting and pull-off force (optional 10 mm², depending on material). The presettings are conveniently made via the modern 12" touch panel, where the operator can define all processes. Thanks to the sensors for diameter and material recognition, the AM 1000 works extremely precisely. Another special feature is the tool-free replacement of guides and rollers. This means that the AM 1000 can be changed over in just one minute. With the extensive interface preparation, the machine can be optimally expanded with peripheral devices and adapts to all customer requirements. The compact design with retractable touch-screen and the low weight of only 28 kg also offer special comfort. This makes the AM 1000 especially easy to transport.

The powerful "universal cutting machine" with superior pulling and cutting strength. The contact pressure between the conveyor belts is pneumatically controlled and opens and closes automatically when the cover is opened and closed. Ideal for solid and dimensionally stable materials. Metzner also offers the Variocut in three “Red – Green – Blue" equipment lines. Each equipment variant is based on the same basic model with the same high-quality mechanical components. The individual models differ in speed, control and the interfaces for peripherals.

The Metzner ST-OB is for cutting cables & strands up to 30 mm diameter. Thanks to the gentle adjustment of the pressure between the transport belt also optimal for cutting rubber seals. The Metzner AM 5000 range includes the flagship models for precise processing of thick cables up to 240 mm² section and 35 mm diameter. Even the basic specification models, with their high torque and powerful three-stage step motors offer the highest level of cutting and haul-off power. All models are equipped with as standard with the Metzner double-knife system that enables very varied and multi-stage processes to be performed. Moreover, with convincing operator-friendliness and long service life. Metzner AM 5000 models are also suited to processing thinner braided cables from 1.5 mm² The stripping full haul-off 1side/2nd side amount to 270-450 mm and 90-270 mm, for partial haul-off 450 mm and 270 mm. The machines in the Cosmic 60 series are portable, semiautomatic jacket and wire stripping machines with rotating blades and a high pull-off force. Operation is unbelievably easy thanks to the analogue settings and the release sensor. These all-purpose machines are operated electrically so they can be used everywhere. The machines process conductors with outside diameters ranging from 2.5 to 10 mm or 11 to 18 mm depending on the model, i.e. they strip single conductors and jackets of multi-conductor cables. The portable machines can be used anywhere a power socket is available. The machines in the Cosmic 60 series are ideal for a highly diverse products made in small to medium quantities.

The Cosmic 42R is the precision machine for multi-layered stripping of micro-coaxial cables. This stripping machine processes the finest conductors with speed and precision. Multi-step stripping involving up to 9 steps is part of the performance capabilities of the Cosmic 42R, as is its memory that accommodates 1000 data records. The Cosmic 42R stripping machine is used for micro-coaxial cables involving especially tough precision requirements. Cosmic 42R optimally processes coaxial cables, triaxial cables and cables with especially thin, hard or tough insulation. Conductors with braided insulation, e.g. polyester fibers, also belong to the processing range. The Cosmic 42R is ideal for a great diversity of products made in small to medium quantities.

The programmable Mira 340 is designed for universal use while maintaining maximum precision. It is perfect for processing wires and insulation material with demanding requirements. The Mira 340 is fitted with a rotary head with 4X-blades and offers unique functions designed to reduce production time and increase quality. As a result, a single machine can be used for a huge range of applications. Thanks to sequential processing, multi-conductor cables and multi-layer insulation material can be processed quickly, thereby saving time. Meanwhile, its ease of use increases productivity. Mira 340 covers a large span of wire specifications up to 16 mm² conductor cross section (AWG 5) and up to 72 mm strip length. It strips, trims and twists wires and cables with maximum precision. Even demanding insulating materials such as tough Teflon®, strong Kapton® and pliable silicon can be processed.

The rotating blade heads of the Cosmic 927 series provide the perfect solution for processing demanding insulation. Each model in the series has a specific area of application: The Cosmic 927R processes a large range of insulation materials. The 927RX shows its true strength with thin or bonded types of insulation. The 927RX-WL accommodates the biggest stripping length. The stripping machines process conductors with outside diameters of 0.25 to 5.3 mm or a cross section of 0.013 to 6 mm² (AWG 36 to 10). The machines can be used for full and partial pull-off on individual conductors or on inner conductors of multi-core cables. Cosmic 927R: This model has a rotating blade head featuring two blades. It processes a large range of insulation. The Cosmic 927R is especially suited to handling a great diversity of products made in small to medium quantities.

Coaxial connectors require especially precise processing of the conductors: The Cosmic 48R and 48RX are the ideal tools for meeting the quality requirements of connector assembly specifications. The Cosmic 48R processes coaxial, triaxial and other multi-layered cables in up to 9 steps. The Cosmic 48RX is optimised for the stripping of semi-flexible coaxial cables. The Cosmic 48R and 48RX stripping machines are ideal for processing round, multilayered cables. Cuts into coaxial and triaxial cables are made precisely over the entire circumference. The cut parameters can be individually optimised. The Cosmic 48RX is specially designed for semi-flexible coaxial cables. The optimised blade geometry ensures great cut performance even in the processing of tinned outside conductors.
