WIWOX PeenPearl® are the new mineral abrasives with the perfect spherical shape. It consists of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) in combination with a high content of titanium dioxide (TiO₂). Its texture is exceptionally dense and resistant to breakage. Other mineral blasting material, such as glass-beads are indirection lifetime exceeded many times over. Zirconium oxide-based ceramic beads type WIWOX® KM specially developed for shot peening and surface finishing. The high fracture toughness and surface smoothness of the ceramic beads allow the production of extremely smooth surfaces.

WIWOX® EK White fused alumina blasting abrasives are used in many areas due to their extreme purity and hardness. From sophisticated medical technology through the roughening of metals to the subsequent coating. Available as white fused alumina in sharp-edged or angular grain shape as well as micro-grain with a precise grain distribution up to 3 μm.

The performance and aggressiveness of brown fused alumina type WIWOX® NK produces a strong removal effect as well as a uniformly structured surface. The high TiO₂ content makes it extremely hard and tough, whereby the surface roughness can be greatly changed. Also available as microcorn with a precise grain distribution up to 3 μm.

Mixed alumina type WIWOX® RK has a low ferrite content and is particularly suitable for applications where a high consumption of blasting abrasives cannot be avoided. Mixed Alumina is produced from ceramic grinding wheels and reclaimed alumina dust from the blasting and grinding industry. It consists of a mixture of white, pink and brown alumina, and is an iron-free alternative for many sectors of the blasting and grinding industry.

The extreme hardness and angular yet sharp-edged properties is typical of black silicon carbide type WIWOX® SI. It is particularly suitable to machine hardened steel and ceramics. It consists of crystalline silicon carbide, which is produced from silica sand and petroleum coke in electric resistance furnaces at temperatures of > 2.300° C. Silicon carbide is iron-free, angular and extremely hard.

Garnet sand type WIWOX® WÜ belongs to the group of garnet stones. The grains are unbroken with irregular shapes. Its unique composition makes the garnet sand tough and hard and particularly suitable for blasting applications in the open. With its the low quartz content (< 0,5 %), it complies with occupational health and safety regulations. Its countries of origin are India and Australia.

WIWOX® GB Glass granules type are carefully crushed in a special grinding process to give it its predominantly angular cubic shape. In the production of glass granules, soda-lime glass is crushed and sifted according to individual grain sizes. Glass granules are an iron-free, mineral blasting medium.

WIWOX® ED Stainless steel blasting abrasives are produced in a melting process and get its round shape through the subsequent atomising process. These fine particles have a particularly long service life and are known for low dust generation. We also supply stainless steel blasting abrasives manufactured under vacuum that meet the requirement of particularly high demands. This blasting abrasive is distinguished by its lustre, purity and roundness.
