It is available for sale in bulk or smaller quantities via an online-shop at www.nano-bin.seAlice Hertz Dahl, a farmer's daughter and entrepreneur, combines her passion for the environment with her experience as a manager for European food companies (Scan, Starbucks and W&A) and her gift for understanding consumer needs. Nano-Bin was invented by Alice Hertz Dahl and the Berlin-based start-up company is the third company she has founded. Did you know that every second 150, 000 cigarette butts are thrown onto the ground worldwide? That adds up to 4.5 trillion cigarette butts every year. EU-wide, cigarette butts account for €13 billion in cleaning costs every year and have a harmful impact on the environment. With 25% of Europeans being regular smokers, litter is increasingly becoming a problem for local authorities and private property owners in places where there are no ashtrays

The warrior that the constellation Orion represents embodies true leadership, inspiring the tactics we pursue and motivating us in our operational and strategic approaches. And being named after a constellation has always compelled us to look to the future. Since their inception in 1980 and 1995 respectively, ORION Bausysteme and ORION Stadtmöblierung have been keeping pace with the continual evolution of the "street furniture" market segment in which they operate. Our awareness of the transient nature inherent in evolution and trends fuels our drive to continually develop our products in line with the wishes and requirements of our customers, and helps us to ensure that we are always one step ahead of the competition. We therefore develop product in line the principle "from the market, to the market". Our aim has always been to lead the way, setting benchmarks of innovative city designs and attracting an open-minded customer base.
