Marcegaglia Baltics was born in 2023 from a team of professionals who has been in business for over 25 years and has a distinguished reputation in the steel distribution and processing sector. The manufacturing plant in Riga, Latvia is dedicated to the production of carbon steel sheets and strips for a wide range of applications. It currently hosts 4 flat steel processing lines (2 are for cut-to-length and 2 for slitting) as well as packaging lines for sheets and strips. We also own 2 warehousing centers in Riga. We offer a wide range of hot rolled, cold rolled, pickled and galvanized steel products, to satisfy the market demand with a highly versatile production of steel dedicated to many sectors as automotive and heavy vehicles, mechanical applications, structural works, roller conveyors, agriculture and farming, but also for pressure purposes, heating, ventilation systems, radiators and pressure equipment, as well as a wide range of steels for the furniture industry, furniture components and fitness equipment. Thanks to Marcegaglia group certified supply chain system, Marcegaglia Baltics manufactures fully traceable products along the entire process, to guarantee absolute suitability for specific applications, in compliance with the main regulatory standards. Marcegaglia Baltics provides multimodal transportation with just-in-time deliveries and offers possibility to choose the right packaging for various options – different unloading transport and storage types.

Nordtorf Ltd. is situated in the Southern part of the Republic of Latvia, near the border with Lithuania, in Akniste. Nordtorf is a company specialising in the production and sale of peat and peat products. The size of the plant is approximately 6000 m² and it features 7 production lines for the packaging of peat and substrata. Nordtorf Ltd., LTL Ltd. (which is connected to SIA Nordtorf) and Cesvaines Kudra Ltd., own peat-production licenses for six bogs. The company’s plant produces approximately 550 000 m³ of substrata and potting soil per year and the amount is increasing. The total area of all 5 bogs is 3050 ha. The extractable peat reserve is 52 million m³ in total. The peat reserve is enough to supply raw material for production for at least the next 60 years.
