Main activity of Rousse Shipyard West JSC is newbuilding of river and sea going vessels. The Yard presently is one of the biggest companies in Europe for building of specialized vessels especially tankers upto 6 000 t deadweight. The fully closed production cycle in closed production areas makes possible newbuilding activities notwithstanding ambient weather conditions. The yard is equipped with modern fixed assets like under water plasma cutting machine, synchro lift launching device, new welding machines. The yard has implemented in production modern automatic and semi-automatic welding technology which together with above described increases significantly the quality of its products. The technological possibilities of the yard allow simultaneous newbuilding per year of 10 vessels in the range up to 45 000 tdw . The focus of the yard for next years is to built specialized tankers such as oil-tankers, bunker tankers, chemical tankers and bitumen carriers using its own projects.
