Degreasing bath treatment Ultrafiltration is established for a long time for applications like treatment of emulsions, degreasing baths or craft detection oils. With ultrafiltration, oil and dirt particles are separated. So, the particle-free filtrate can be used for degreasing again. According to the recommendations of suppliers for degreasing chemicals tensides are added to the degreasing bath. So, lifetimes up to 3 to 6 months can be reached for degreasing baths. Osmo Membrane Systems GmbH offers an upgrade for your degreasing plant in replacing the polymer pipe modules by ceramic modules. Ceramic modules are more temperature resistant, chemical resistant and changing pH-values. On the one hand, the separation efficiency will be increased and on the other hand, the lifetime of the degreasing plant will be increased significantly, because polymer modules have to be changed much more, depending on the application. Round dialysis cells The cylindrical electrode is mounted into the cylindrical membrane, which is hold by a strong pervious pipe from the inside and protected by a mesh from the outside. The anolyte is leaded through the anode pipe through the bottom of the electrode and flows constantly through the toroidal gap between electrode and housing to the anolyte outlet. By the standardized membrane support, a multitude of membranes can be used. The pipe cells of OSMO Membrane Systems GmbH are easy to handle, because even a 2m long electrode only weights 8 kg. Ultrafiltration of kathodic deposition paint The filtrate of the ultrafiltration is added to the immersion bath by a spray ring, which is installed directly over this bath. So, the recovery of the remaining color is possible and by separation the color particles, painting defects can be avoided. In the last spray zone, organic solvents from the ultrafiltration are washed away be demineralised water. Concentrated with these solvents, the water is leaded into the color bath. The process is a closed loop without any waste waters. The paint bath can be contaminated with pre-tretment chemicals like e.g. phosphates, chlorides, chromates. so, a part of ultrafiltrate has to be leaded out to avoid concentration of the paint bath with these chemicals. If no ultrafiltration is used, big amounts of waste waters will arise, which are difficult to dispose. Our ultrafiltration plants are customized in membrane are, retention rate and membrane type.
