Electric cylinders are self-locking. So they do not need energy when they stand still. This makes the electric cylinders to be an interesting alternative to pneumatic and hydraulic actuators. Powerful DC motors, signal lines, potentiometers and Hall-ICs for position indication, as well as integrated end switches uncomplicatedly serve for meeting the most frequent requirements.

Micro-Epsilon offers a large range of inductive sensors for displacement and position measurement from conventional LVDT sensors and inductive sensors with integrated controller to customer-specific high-volume versions. The VA-L series aluminium saws define a whole new performance class with their design. These energy-saving actuators are extremely easy to use and operation via data input requires no complicated programming. Start and end points can be set to any position.
