Our range of wood effect boards now includes a Cherry Melamine Board cut to size. As with each of our wood effect melamine sheets it is suitbale for a wide range of uses including, but not limited to the following… Commercial desk tops. Home office desks. Shelves. Table top extensions. Wardrobe carcass panels. Wardrobe doors. Our in house capabilities also allows us to provide Cherry Melamine Board Cut to Size & Edged. Our standard edging solution is to use a matching 2mm ABS bonded to the board with an EVA adhesive. Alternatively we can offer 1mm colour matched edging or a contrasting edging in either 1 or 2mm. Another option we can offer is the use of PUR adhesive to bond the edging to the board. PUR adhesive is far stronger that EVA adhesive and also provides resistance against heat and moisture. Using the PUR option is essential when using edged melamine faced boards in kitchen, and especially bathroom, environments.

The innovative features of our Edge Bander's glue pot also allows us to provide a PUR Edge Banding Service which is essential for projects that demand all the benefits that PUR edge banded panels provide. Why is PUR edge banding better? Without doubt, the PUR adhesives inherent, and superior bonding strength (when compared to EVA Glue) is completely unaffected by high temperature and provides a water tight, anti bacterial, bonded edge, that will not delaminate under any conditions. PUR glued, edge banded, panels provide a prolonged life to, otherwise susceptible, panels in extreme and demanding applications such as medical and hospital environments and, in particular, toilet cubicle panelling applications.

Decreasing insulation efficiency The insulation efficiency of PUR foam decreases over time as air permeates in and cell gasses permeate out of the pipe structure, increasing thermal conductivity. Oxygen permeation can also lead to oxidative degradation of the PUR-foam insulation itself. This reduces the adhesion between the PUR-foam and inner pipe, weakening the structure and compromising the mechanical integrity of the entire pipe system. Maintained efficency and improved performance with EVAL™ With EVAL™ the insulation efficiency of the PUR foam is maintained, avoiding an increase in thermal conductivity . Oxygen ingress that can degrade the PUR-foam insulation is also sharply reduced. EVAL™ provides good adhesion to the PUR-foam without additional surface treatement. Many pre-insulated pipes use rigid polyurethane foam and a HDPE casing. Over time, the insulation efficiency of the pipe structure decreases, caused by the permeation of air (oxygen, nitrogen) into the foam cells and the diffusion of cell gases (blowing agent, carbondioxide) out of the foam cells. The insulation efficiency of PUR foam decreases as air permeates in and cell gasses permeate out of the pipe structure, increasing thermal conductivity.
