Tapered roller bearings are composed of solid outer and inner rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers with cage assembly. The bearings are separable. Therefore, the inner ring with the rollers and the assembly cage can fitted separated from the outer ring. Tapered roller bearings tolerate high radial and one sided axial forces. For axial steadying, a second bearing is usually necessary, which is then fitted mirror-inverted.

These bearings are doublerow, full complement with a low cross sectional height designed for use in sheaves. There are two types, sealed and shield type. They can withstand heavy radial loads and shock loads at comparatively lowspeed rotations, and can also withstand axial loads. It is easy to fix them axially to sheaves using the stop rings of the outer ring. The width of the inner ring is designed to be larger than that of the outer ring, so they require no spacer between sheaves. The structure is stable because the doublerow of rollers can withstand the moment loads caused by rope transition. The surfaces of these bearings are also treated to provide high corrosion resistance.

IKO Roller Bearings are heavy duty bearings with rollers incorporated in a double row. They are nonseparable bearings with a high load rating. They can withstand not only radial loads but axial loads as well, which are supported at the contacts between the shoulders of the inner and outer rings and the end faces of the rollers. They should be used at the fixing side of a shaft. Like needle roller bearings, they are also compact. Roller bearing types include caged, full complement and the type for sheaves, and they can be selected based on the operating conditions. The new designed rotary swivel unit RT2A is the ideal solution for retrofitting your machine with a 4th and 5th axis. It is based on the proven and robust rotary tables of the RT2A series. The design is kept very compact to ensure the best possible use of space with high load capacity. The rotary tables are equipped with an integrated precision roller bearing, which ensures high torque capacity, radial and axial run-out accuracy. The rotary swivel unit RT2A is available in the size variants RT2A150/200 and RT2A100/150. Various stepper or servo motors can be used as drives. In addition, various types of end or reference point switches are available. The swivel range of the swivel axis can be individually defined, the rotary axis can be rotated without limit. Rotary tables with direct drive series RT3 The rotary tables with direct drive are available in different types: RT3A100x100, RT3A100x155, RT3A080x130, RT3A150x100, RT3A150x130, RT3A250x170, RT3A200x060 und RT3G630x225 Rotary tables RT3G630 – high dynamics, high precision, high loading capacity This direct driven rotary table RT3G630 has particularly been developed for machine tool industry and assembly machines. It is characterised by its high precision, highdynamics and its high loading capacity. The rotary table is driven by a permanently excited 3-phase synchronous motor. The rotary plate and the housing are made of gray cast iron.

While the conventional drives are dependent on an external controller unit, for the compact drives no additional controller is needed. The complete electrical parts, including the drive controller and encoder, are integrated on the motor board. Programming is done via standard PC using free software. The operation can be done without a PC, the created driving programs are stored in the compact drive and can be accessed via a separate input.
