Myrrh is a hard, reddish-brown tree resin which comes from the genus of the Commiphora tree. Myrrh is primarily derived from commiphora myrrha, a large shrub or small tree commonly known as molmol in somali. The complex aroma of Myrrh is quite spicy and deep, along with a mysterious earthy feeling. Myrrh has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense, and medicine. Its use in incense has been mentioned since the dawn of recorded history.

Frankincense is an aromatic resin used in incense and perfumes. We can provide frankincense resins in various grades, which depend on the time of harvesting. The resin is hand-sorted for quality. Our frankincense is harvested in traditional methods from Boswellia tree.

Gum Arabic is a hard, translucent gum obtained from various species of the Acacia genus produced during the dry season under hot temperatures when the trees are stressed most. The gum is a chief source of income for various semi-nomadic people in the Sahel region. Gum Arabic is sometimes used as a purification incense throughout Africa and has purported medicinal benefits.

Sesame seed is a tiny, flat oval seed with a nutty taste and a delicate, almost invisible crunch. It is used whole in cooking for its rich, nutty flavour. Typically, the seeds are about 3 to 4 mm long by 2 mm wide and 1 mm thick. The seeds are ovate, slightly flattened, and somewhat thinner at the eye of the seed than at the opposite end.
