Description

Almonds are the seeds of the almond fruit that grow in around 30 different varieties. They are described by many as "the kings of the nuts." All this is due to the extraordinary content of vitamins and minerals valuable for health. Almonds are often used to produce flour, which is especially appreciated by people who follow the principles of a gluten-free diet. In addition, almond seeds are used in the production of a special almond paste with exceptional nutritional values. Almonds are rich in nutrients. They contain vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber. They have a high content of healthy unsaturated fats (EFAs). Almonds are rich in vitamin E, a well-known antioxidant, a substance that stops oxidation processes, thus clearing the veins and preventing heart disease, and slowing down the aging of cells. Almonds are believed to contribute to the maintenance of healthy bones through the content of calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, vitamin K, protein and zinc.
